THE PATTER OF rain dancing across the window engulfs their ears, a melody of tranquillity swarming through their senses and concocted with the soft drumming of dilara's pen against her notepad. the studio's walls are illuminated in a purple glow, the LED lights sprinkled atop the ceilings shining down on the girls as they sit peacefully. it's been like this all morning, a constant sense of ease as they remain in one another's company and indulge in conversation every so often, most of it regarding lyrics dilara is trying to perfect.

"does it sound better to say it's 'cause my life feels out of control or so out of control?" dilara asks what she can only assume is the twentieth question of the day, a small smile planted across her face as she awaits her friends' responses.

"so," rena and drea reply at the same time and dilara smiles, quickly jotting the change down with her pen and humming the words slightly once more to see if they fit together.

"okay that's all i can be bothered for today, think i'm going to practice singing it a bit now. you guys wanna hear it?" she asks, standing up and straightening her top as she opens the door to the recording station.

"is that even a question? of fucking course we wanna hear it," drea throws her hands up exasperatedly, an eager grin on her face when rena instantly agrees with her.

truth be told, dilara is a little nervous to sing in front of her friends. she's never done it before and the thought of disappointing them begins to circle her head, a cloud of doubt pouring streams over her and heavily reflecting the downpour outside. it isn't as though she doesn't trust them, quite the opposite in fact. she's been getting very close to all of her friends lately but especially drea and rena; something about the common features they have making it ever so easy to reside beside one another.
