I wanted to go home. Seeing Henry here, with bandages and everything was heartbreaking. He didn't even face into my direction, and I didn't expect him to. But what bothered me was Blaire, who looked so ready to say something hurtful. She walked in my direction with her clique, and they followed. I looked at Charlotte, who was frowning as well. She grabbed my hand and started to lead me away from the clique. Blaire didn't like it because she ran to Henry and asked out loud, "What's up with you and Roxy?"

It was crazy how the whole hallway went silent. So everyone was really wondering why we weren't together. Couldn't people just go on with their lives? "I don't blame them." Charlotte said quietly. "You two have been dating for a long time." I looked at her with a frown. She then tugged me away, but I wanted to hear what Henry  had to say.

"We've broken up." he said. Blaire acted so shocked and surprised.

"Why?' She asked.

"It's none of your business." Henry said. She frowned at his words. And when she wanted to say something else, Jasper told her to leave them alone.

"I guess I'll ask Roxy." She said as she turned to me, and I sighed. I did not have the patience to do this. "What happened, Roxy? We all thought you two were literally husband and wife. Is it because he refused to have sex with you? I don't blame him." When she saw it got no reaction from me, she continued, "Is it because he's small?" her and her clique gasped, and I rolled my eyes. "Is it because he's disable now? I mean, I wouldn't want to be with a guy who looks like that, either." As she spoke, I could feel my anger rise. Henry got hurt because of me. She shouldn't mock him. I felt Charlotte try to pull me back, but she knew I was stronger than her. I walked up to Blaire and slapped her so hard that it rang through the whole hallway.

"How about you mind your business, Blaire." I told her. I thought she would start crying, but she stood up and took her heels off and went to throw them at me, but  I dodged them. She tried to hit me again. I dodged. At this point, she was crying, and they were black lines streaming down her face.

"Roxy, you could get suspended." Charlotte scolded, but I didn't care. I would call my mother and apologize for not finishing high school. But I couldn't do it anymore.

It was the end of the day, and mysteriously, I hadn't been called to the principal's office. I decided to head out and wait for Charlotte by the car. I didn't want to look for her in case I ran into Henry. At the entrance of the school, there was a commotion, and I rolled my eyes. What was going on now? I had to be alert in case it was a villain. But no one was panicking. Most of the girls were squealing, and I walked past them to see what everyone was looking at.

I froze. What was he doing here? Max Thunderman was standing by an expensive black car wearing all black with shades on. He was the reason the girls had decided to go crazy. "OMG! He is a hottie! I need to start dating college boys." I heard Blaire say. I was surprised she was still here and not at home. Her face was still red where I slapped her. I decided to continue walking down the stairs and not towards him, hoping he wouldn't notice. But somehow, we made eye contact, and I sighed. He took off his sunglasses, and the girls squealing became higher. He winked at me, and I sighed. Then he started walking towards me, and the squeals turned to murmurs.

"How in the freak did she get that man to talk to her?"

"She is beautiful, so she must be pulling in hotties. I mean, Henry isn't bad looking."

"I wish I was her."

"I was gonna ask her out.'

I stopped hearing what my schoolmates had to say as Max stood before me. "What are you doing here?" I asked.
