A week had passed since the air had been cleared between the McGarretts. Life got back to normal and everything was good between the couple. On the way to work that Friday Bailey's phone rang. She looked at her phone and saw that it was her dad, King.
Bailey accepted the call and said, "Hey Dad, what's up?"

"I'm doing good, just on my way to work," Bailey replied.
.......
"Yeah, I usually take my lunch break around then, if I can. If you want to call back then I should be able to answer the phone." Bailey confirmed.
.......
"Alright, daddy. I will talk to you then. Love you." Bailey responded.
.......
"Bye, Dad," Bailey said and ended the call.
"What did King want?" Steve asked conversationally.
"I'm not sure, babe. I'm guessing he wants to talk about something. He said he'd call back at lunchtime, so I guess I'll find out then." Bailey answered as they pulled into the parking lot of their workplace.
"Huh. Hope everything is alright." Steve said as he parked the car.
"Me too." Bailey agreed with a smile.
The pair exited Steve's truck and went into Five-0 headquarters together. Bailey had resumed her routine of working in her husband's office. The day passed fairly quietly until lunchtime, when this time it was Steve's phone that rang.
Steve noticed that it was his father-in-law and accepted the call.
" Hey man, what's up?" Steve asked.

"Yeah, she's with me. Is everything alright?" Steve asked, concerned.
......
" Seriously? When?" Steve questioned, surprised.
......
" No, no it's not a problem. Just sit tight and we'll be there soon." Steve reassured his father-in-law.

Yeah, I'm sure. Don't call a cab. Just hang tight for me. Get something to eat or something. Vi and I will be there before you know it." Steve said reassuringly.
Bailey listened to her husband's side of the conversation confused. Just what the heck was going on?!
"Is everything alright?" Bailey asked concerned.
"Yeah, everything is fine Vi. C'mon, we need to head out." Steve replied, getting up and heading out his office door.
"What's up? Where are we going?" Bailey demanded, standing up and following him.
"The airport. Apparently, your dad's plane just landed." Steve answered.
Dad's in Hawaii?!" Bailey shrieked, in surprise.
"Yup and waiting for us at the airport." Her husband answered without breaking his stride.
Bailey hurried to keep up with him. Then stopped and ran back to Danny's office.
Once there she pushed the door open, stuck her head in, and asked, "Do you mind holding down the fort for a while, Danny?"
"Sure thing, babe. What's up?" Danny asked.
"King's in town. We're going to pick him up from the airport right now." Bailey replied with a big smile on her face.
"What?! Why didn't you tell me he was coming? How long is he here for?" Danny asked jumping to his feet.
