Bailey took a couple of deep breaths. She sipped on the coffee Lou had handed her after he had gotten into the car and started it up. She glanced in the backseat and saw the boxes of Coco Puffs and Malasadas were secure. A grin spread across her face. Lou hadn't needed any help with the pastries just as she had thought. He was merely attempting to help her out of an embarrassing situation and mitigate her panic attack.

"Thank you, Captain," Bailey said softly.

"I'm not surprised it happened to be honest. I think you may have a little PTSD from the crash." Lou responded calmly.

"PTSD for an accident that I don't even remember?" Bailey asked doubtfully.

"You remember it on some level hun. Why else would you have the panic attack and bolt from Danny's car the way did?" Lou asked in return gently.

"I guess I can't argue with that," Bailey said reasonably.

"So how's the coffee?" Lou asked changing the subject.

"Perfect. To be honest I can't wait to dive into one of those Malasadas and have a couple of those Coco Puffs." Bailey replied cheerfully.

Lou chuckled and said, "Good, 'cause here we are. Ready to start your first day back?"

"More than," Bailey confirmed as Lou parked the SUV.

Lou and Bailey got out of the SUV. Bailey walked around the car and joined Lou on the other side as he was closing the rear door after grabbing the Malasadas and Coco Puffs. Bailey smiles at Lou. They both turn at the sound of another car pulling in and parking followed by a big blue pickup truck. Danny and Steve have arrived. It also appeared that they have decided to take their separate vehicles.

"Hey, Danny called out after getting out of his Camero, you forgot your work bag in my car, Bails."

"Ack! I did! Thank you for bringing it." Bailey exclaimed rushing over to Danny and retrieving her bag.

"Don't worry about it babe," Danny said with a smile, accepting and returning a thank you hug from Bailey.

"Hey, Vi." Steve greeted his wife joining her and Danny.

Bailey slid her eyes to her husband and looked at him. She then gave him a small slow smile. She grabbed his hand and shifted her bag onto her shoulder.

"C'mon it's time to get to work. I want a malasada." Bailey told her husband playfully.

"The woman has a point, c'mon boys," Lou called over.

Danny, Steve, and Bailey burst out laughing and followed Lou into Five-0 headquarters.

"Hey look who's back!" Junior called upon seeing Bailey.

"Hey Junior." Bailey returned the greeting.

Bailey walked with Steve to his office. She generally did her paper/computer work on his couch. Although when she had started out with Five-0 she worked at the desk in the main area. She had started moving around to do her work about six months on the job about the same time as her first "Field Trip" as Steve called it outside of Five-0 headquarters. Just shortly after Grace's 12th birthday party. Bailey grabbed a sharpened pencil out of her husband's desk, causing him to move back.

"Sorry babe." She apologized distractedly.

Bailey then sat back down on the couch, opened her memory book, and began to write. Steve watched his wife for a moment and realized what she was doing. She was remembering and recording. He wondered what memory he would be reading about. She had said that today felt good for recalling her first field trip with Five-0. Steve hoped so, it had been an interesting one and he wanted to read her take and her thoughts on what had happened that day.
