Leah POV

My paws thundered under me as I swiftly block every object that was in my way, I knew if I kept going straight I would be at the leeches lair in no time. I hastily stopped once I saw the house, I still lingered in the forest line. As soon as I took a breath, Simon came out of the house. His dark brown locks were wild but his eyes were a bright gold, darting the forest line for me.

"Hello?" He spoke, his voice so unsure and I quickly shifted back to myself and clothed myself before walking out of the tree line.

"Hello" I spoke lowly, my eyes meeting his and I felt butterflies burst inside me. Fucking imprint things.

"Edward said you needed to talk to me." Simon explained, he shoved his hands in his pockets. He was obviously nervous as me, I've never seen a vampire nervous before but I've never even tried to see them as creatures with feelings either.

"Of course he did." I mumbled out before continuing "I want us to talk...privately."

Simon nodded and began to walk my way, making me step back in return.

"Don't worry, I won't bite you." Simon hummed out, trying to add humor in this awkward situation. "I know a good place. Edward showed it to me years ago."

"Okay." I agreed curtly, he began to walk in a opposite direction and I quickly followed. Soon that walk turned into a sprint, we were in neck to neck as we ran. Simon suddenly stopped after a while, we saw a opening to the place. He took the first step into the opening and I followed shortly after him, it was a meadow. It was beautiful, even at midnight, the night caused all the bright colors to dim and look darker.

"Amazing, right?" Simon asked, he turned himself around to be facing me. His hair was more wild after the run, his smile was lopsided and his shirt was littered with twigs and slight mud from the earlier rain.

"Yes" I replied with a soft smile, that wasn't suppose to slip through. His smile was brighter as soon as he saw mine, I glanced at his hands. They gripping onto the bottom of his shirt, I'm guessing stopping him from trying to do something.

"So what would you like to talk about?" Simon asked, his eyes was curious as he waited for me to answer.

"This" I explained, pointing back and forth at us. "I have to accept you."

"Oh really?" He asked, his eyes were wide with shock.

"Yes. No matter how hard I can fight it, it will always drag me back to you." I admitted, blush soon appeared across my skin. "I need to accept that you're a vampire and that you are more human than I think...but I don't want to jump in a relationship, just quite yet."

Simon nodded in a agreement, he was trying to hide his emotion as he listened to me.

"I want us to fall in love with each other and not this pull." I motioned to each other once again, he nodded again. "Now, what do you have to say? You've been quiet and I am super nervous an-"

"I've been waiting for you for centuries and centuries, I can wait for another century just to even look in your direction." Simon interrupted me, his eyes turned a soft liquid honey as he looked down at me. I didn't notice how close we were until I manage to look up at him, I took a sharp intake of breath.

"I am here for any questions you want from me, there will be no secrets." Simon spoke softly, his breath somehow fanned across my face. It smelt like a soft cinnamon and vanilla, it was another weird component of this imprint thing.

I took a sharp step back as I tried to wrap my head around this, my head was a mess after that attracting scent.

"Hey, are you alright?" Simon asked, he placed his hand on my shoulder. My eyes widened as i felt the shock run through my body and looked up to meet the same shocked eyes. Simon quickly pulled away, he looked down at his hands in curiosity. It definitely made it worse, I couldn't stand...literally.

"Hey, hey, sit down." Simon spoke softly, he helped me down onto the patch of flowers below us and looked down at me with his super bright eyes. If I didn't have this 'great' eyesight, I would only be able to see his glowing eyes. Simon chose a spot quite far from me, we weren't close enough that his 'scent' would paralyze me again.

"Okay" I stated, clearing my throat. "How many have you killed?"

The question took Simon by surprised, his eyes were wide but then gain back his cool composure.

"Only one." His voice was emotionless, normally hearing this would make me gag in disgust but I'm now just curious of this person before me.

"Tell me." I commanded, my sharp brown eyes clashing with his bright golden eyes.

"Do you really want to know?"

"What about no secrets?" I quoted him, he squirmed in his spot, obviously uncomfortable at his own words used against him.

"Okay..."
