When Rowan looked in my direction, my heart dropped, and I quickly hurried back towards the exit. I'm not sure if I was seeing things, or maybe that wasn't Rowan. I just know I have to get out of dodge.

BEEP BEEP!

God answered my prayers as my driver pulled up. I hurried and got in the backseat. Once we turned the corner, Rowan was no longer there.

I took a few deep breaths to calm my nerves. I really hope he didn't see me. Questions took over, and I felt like I was mentally losing it.

What is he? How did he do that?

Once the car pulled up to the hotel, I received a few text messages.

Hey, Mony. We just got to the mansion, and it's amazing. I'll send you pics later!

Okay. Have fun and be safe ❤️

I answered other messages from my mom, cousin, and co-worker. Then, a message from Damien's phone came through.

Hi Harmony, I saw the red carpet photos. The girls looked nice. Good job.

Thank you.

He sent another text message, but I ignored it. I figured he was going to try to make an excuse for the messages that were sent earlier.

I walked into the hotel lobby and pulled my room key card out of my purse. When the elevator doors opened, I almost pissed myself.

"What a pleasant surprise."

Rowan stood inside alone. The other elevator had just gone up. I was shocked in place until the doors began to close, but he held them open while I got on.

Although I was afraid, I was embarrassed at my reaction.

"I-I'm so sorry. Thank you."

He chuckled. "It's cool, and you're very welcome."

My eyes were not deceiving me. I know I just saw Rowan turn a man into ashes. What if he saw me or if I hurried away from him at this moment, would he assume I knew something?

"What floor?" He asked.

This man smelled so good and had a calm masculine energy that sent tingles down my spine. I'm surprised this elevator or the lobby wasn't filled with women.

"Seventh."

He pressed the 7th floor button. "Me too."

My heart was racing, and I tried not to look at him. He technically just killed someone...why did I even get on the elevator with him?

"Did you enjoy the show, Harmony?"

My eyes widened, I forgot he knew my name. "Y-Yes, it was nice. Your performance was amazing also."

"Thank you."

His dimpled smile made me blush. The elevator stopped on the seven dial, but the doors didn't open. I was confused while the lights above began to flicker.

Suddenly, it went completely dark, and I screamed, pushing myself into the corner.

"R-Rowan...what's happening?!"

All I saw was glowing red eyes. His voice was calm and deep.

"You tell me."

I panicked, then passed out.
