Brock wailed on the drums as Nick pulled off a solo. I drank some water while taking a break from our already three hour rehearsal.

"I think dancers would add to the aesthetic."

Sonya was our tour manager. Recently she's been trying to change our stage look. It was cool at first, but her ideas are starting to take a different turn.

"Absolutely not." Nick tuned his guitar

"We're not a fucking boy band," Brock added.

"I'm not asking you all to dance...just trying to add to the performance. Liven up the entertainment."

"What do you think, Row?"

"Sounds like Sonya thinks we're boring."

She sighed. "That's not what I said."

I smirked at her response and sat down. Rehearsal was going well although my thoughts were consumed with Harmony. Her lips were so soft and the scent of her arousal was addicting.

It's been a few weeks and now that I've imprinted on her, I can hear her thoughts and communicate the same way. Hearing my voice in her head, I'm sure she freaked out...which I expected.

I could sense her energy when I sent Elzar to damnation. Her response to me being aware was adorable.

"How's everything going?" Pete asked, walking into the door.

"Can you please tell your girlfriend we're Konstrict, not the Backstreet Boys."

Nick and I laughed at Brock's response while Sonya rolled her eyes. Pete stood next to me and whispered.

"I need to show you something."

I got up and followed him away from the others while they playfully shit talked back and forth.

"You said you were leaving the concert hall alone. What happened?"

He showed me his phone screen and I smiled. It was security camera footage from the hotel. Harmony was coming out of my room, and I kissed her forehead.

"I mean, I'm not mad at you. She's a pretty girl. But after the break up with Tara, you're supposed to stay clear of women for a while."

"Harmony is my friend."

"You barely know her."

"I'm working on that."

"If you knew who she's connected to, you would leave her alone."

Now I'm intrigued. "She has a boyfriend?"

"Not sure about now, but the guy she was dating is Damien Stacks."

"Big bad Damien...I'm terrified."

I was calm, and Pete looked annoyed at my lack of concern.

"Ha, ha, ha...really funny. If he ever approaches you about Harmony...leave her alone. I don't need any bullshit coming at you or the fellas."

He looked more upset than scared.

"No need to worry about me. I got this."

"Yeah, whatever."

Pete walked away as a smile formed on my face. I'm going to have Harmony either way, but now I'm excited about the potential threat of pursuing her.

"This is going to be fun."

I left rehearsal with plans to go home, shower, eat, and relax for the rest of the day.

As I took the next exit off the highway, I noticed a black SUV behind me. All the windows were tinted, which made me pay attention.
