I had a few demons in front of me now, but they knew to keep their distance.

My focus went to the abandoned house a few feet ahead. I made my way in its direction. Numar's scent was becoming stronger.

Can you help us?

We are lost.

I looked towards the voices.

"Go into the light...that's where your souls belong. Don't be afraid."

The demons and souls continued to follow me to the steps of the old house. On the outside, the lights looked on, but once the door opened, it was dark. He wasn't alone inside, and now I was worried.

When I walked in, I was attacked by four humans. They knew no better, so I took it easy on them with some broken noses and a broken jaw.

Two were unconscious while the other two groaned in pain on the floor. I sensed Numar's energy toward the back of the house and went there.

"Get off of me!" A young girl yelled.

On top of her was Numar, and I shook my head. He really was a piece of shit. Him being an angel really made things worse for him.

"You just never learn."

He jumped off of the girl at the sound of my voice. She looked terrified with her shirt ripped open and one shoe missing from her foot. I looked at her.

"Go home."

She hurried at my words and ran out in the opposite direction.

"I was just having fun."

Numar stood up with a nervous laugh. I knew there was another presence near, but I kept my eyes on him.

"You came to take me back to the spirit realm."

"Not exactly."

"Oh, so the Savior sent you. Are you here to chastise me?"

"I was sent by Michael..."

Numar's eyes widened as my hands began to heat up. I felt the other presence draw closer, and I reached back, grabbing him by the neck.

"Condemned."

With my words, the demon melted in my grasp. Numar held up his hands and slowly got on his knees.

Rowan, where are you?

I heard Harmony's voice, and I paused.

Numar moved quickly, vanishing through a wall. My worry was no longer catching him, so I made my way back out of the house.

The fear in her voice echoed in my thoughts as the black mist formed before me. I walked through and was back in the hallway of my home.

My bedroom's double doors were closed, but before I could open them, I heard noises downstairs.

I went to open the doors, and they were locked. With my eyes closed, I walked through them, causing Harmony to run into the on-suite bathroom.

Harmony, stop!

Hearing my voice in her mind, she turned around, then ran towards me. I held her shaking body, then continued to mentally communicate with her.

Stay here, okay.

Where are you going? I already called the police. They tracked my phone location.

I walked over to my closet and grabbed the 22 pistol from the box on the shelf. Once Harmony saw the gun, she panicked.

No, stay here with me. Let's wait for the police, baby.

I'll be fine. Trust me, okay.

I kissed her lips while tears filled her eyes. Once I was out of the room, I closed the doors behind me.

As I walked down the steps, I smelled the scent of humans. I saw the first target. He wore a black ski mask. I guess I was the next celeb on the list to get robbed.

POW!

The headshot instantly dropped him to the floor. Now I hear more footsteps, and I smile with my gun still raised, pointing forward.

I heard the first gun shot and coward in the bathroom with the door locked. My prayers were on repeat that Rowan wasn't the recipient of what I just heard.

Sirens began to go off, and I felt some relief but still didn't move from where I was. I waited for a few minutes, then went to the double doors of the bedroom.

I slowly opened them and heard commotion from the police coming into the house.

"FREEZE!"

"DROP YOUR WEAPON!"

I didn't hear Rowan's voice and began to worry. I couldn't just come down the steps and risk being shot, so I went full damsel in distress.

"PLEASE, HELP ME!"

I still didn't hear Rowan's voice.

"ROWAN! WHERE ARE YOU?!

I heard a few footsteps coming up the stairs. I raised my hands with tears running down my face. I had never been in this type of situation before.

Rowan, are you okay?

I spoke in my head but didn't get a response.

"Miss, are you the only one up here?"

"Y-Yes, officer. Where's Rowan? Is he okay?"

No one answered me as they walked past me with their guns drawn, and one officer brung me downstairs. I saw a body laying on the floor, and I stopped in my tracks.

"It's okay, Ma'am. Come with me into the dining room."

I sat at the table, answering questions. There was still no sign of Rowan. Tears began to fall again.

"Are you okay, baby?"

I looked up to him, standing in front of me. He had worry on his face, but once I jumped into his arms, he smiled.

"Okay, Mr. Vidal. Both statements have been filled out. One suspect is deceased, and the other two suspects are being taken into custody. We will be in touch."

"Thank you, officer."

The information should have given me relief, but I was still shaken up. I wanted to go home but didn't want to leave Rowan here alone.

"Honey, you should come to my house for a few days."

He touched my chin. "Why? Are you worried about me?"

"Yes...I won't be able to sleep if you're not with me."

He smiled. "Okay, love."

We kissed.

"Rowan! Is everything okay?" His band member Nick walked in with Brock following behind him.

"Yeah, I'm good."

"We heard you popped one of them bastards. That's some raw shit, man!" Brock praised.

"I'm glad you're okay, Rowan."

Their manager Pete walked in and didn't look too happy to see me.

"What the hell is she doing here?"
