It's been a year since the situation with Pete happened. I've taken that time off away from the music industry and focused on Harmony.

Damien Stacks was eventually exposed for a lot of things that took her by surprise...I wasn't at all. But seeing the hurt in Harmony's eyes while hearing the news from the detective was tough.

Mr. Stacks is under investigation for the shooting of Officer Kareem Weathers. We believe the currently incarcerated Jason Myers, stage name, Jay Money, was not the shooter and took the fall for Mr. Stacks.

She squeezed my hand.

D-Damien killed my husband?

We believe so....

He didn't know I was the wife of the man he killed.

That is also false.

What?

Mr. Mitchell, a former accountant at Royal Records, stated that he was told to cover the officer's funeral expenses. Then, get more information on his widow.

The anger in Harmony's eyes was instant. After that, we stayed away from the public eye, portaling back and forth between the angel's realm and earth. Harmony was learning more about that world along with enjoying her time on earth with me.

Last month, Nick, Brock, and I finished our new album titled Angel. We settled all our legal obligations with Pete's Estate and were free to move on as a band.

Being he was serving over six years in prison, there wasn't much he could do anyway.

"Alright fellas, the album is releasing Friday. Are you all excited?"

Colin Ward was our new manager and had a great resume of client's he has managed prior to us. He was professional, thorough, and stayed out of our personal business.

"Yeah, we are," Nick answered, and we agreed.

Buzz for the new album was growing, and the excitement was felt by diehard Konstrict fans.

"Oh shit, did you guys see this...."

Colin turned on EMZ, showing Damien Stacks being taken in by the Feds with handcuffs on. Brock turned the volume up on the TV.

"Damien Stacks is being charged with tax evasion, illegal gambling, and multiple assault charges for both mothers of his children."

"Damn, another bites the dust."

I smirked at Brock and headed out to go pick up Harmony from her photoshoot. This was her tenth magazine cover since her interview with well-respected journalist Ronda Jeffrey.

Harmony was an advocate for teens and children suffering from PTSD and trauma. Her story of survival and faith won the hearts of millions.

This past year with her has been pure bliss. She is everything I wanted in a mate...beautiful, genuine, intelligent, nurturing, and loyal.

My phone buzzed. I smiled, seeing her name come across the screen. Harmony could have mentally communicated with me, but I understood this was her way to feel normal.

"Hey, baby. I'm about 15 minutes away."

"Oh okay. How did the meeting go?"

"It went well. The album release date is this week. And the listening party is tomorrow night."

I could hear the excitement in her voice.

"Yay! Congrats, baby! You guys worked so hard on this album. I'm so proud of you!"
