Aldric's POV
I got up refreshed but grumpy in the morning since it was time for my morning training session leading today. It's not that I hate training sessions, but the morning training sessions are all for young teenagers, and they do not want to listen, and we end up having a lot of arguments, and then I have to use my 'Future Alpha' status to calm everyone, and it is way too much hassle. Sigh.
Anyways, Hi, I am Aldric Rivera Silverstone. Yes, I have two last names. That's because my father wanted to keep my grandma's last name as a sign of respect. Well, I do respect her too. She was the first omega to fight for their rights, and that's how we got these amazing equal rights and all freedom in our pack.
My father, Ralph Rivera Silverstone, is the current alpha of our Silver Moon Pack. I'll be taking over the alpha duties six months later, when I finish high school.
Once I was done with training almost an hour ago, I came back to my room to finish my morning routine. Right now, I am standing in my walk-in closet, looking for an outfit to wear. I settled on a plain black t-shirt that hugged my well-defined abs, chest, and broad shoulders, enhancing my body muscles beautifully, and a pair of blue jeans with black sneakers and a jacket to go over.
After I was done getting ready, I got down to the dining room for breakfast. Our house had a tradition of having breakfast and dinner together, no matter what. The rule was made by my mom, and nobody could dare break it.
In the dining room, I found my two younger brothers, Harvey, who is 16 years old, and Ollie, who is 12 years old. Harvey is also an alpha, whereas Ollie is an omega.
"Good morning champs" I greeted them and Harvey just grunted something and Ollie got up and hugged me, greeting me softly with his sweet voice. Harvey was a complete stubborn, annoying brat, whereas Ollie was a very quiet, most civil kid I've ever met in my life.
"Good morning, munchkins" my mom cheered loudly coming out of the kitchen with food. She placed the food on table and hugged each one of us with a kiss on our cheeks. "Good morning kids." My dad said as he got in the dining room with his ipad in hand and kissed Ollie on his forehead before sitting on his chair.
Ollie has been the most cherished member of our house since childhood, and he has been sweet since birth. He was cheerful earlier, but due to some incident four years ago, he stopped being cheerful and became this quiet little Ollie we all just want to protect.
We all love each other though, and my parents made sure to build houses near to each other for us to move out and live after we find our mates.
As I was done with my breakfast, I headed out to find my best friends, Clovis, my future beta, and Valerie, my future gamma, waiting for me in Clovis's car for us to get to school.
"Morning man." Clovis wished me with a hand shake and a shoulder bump.
"Yeah, yeah, now come on get in the car." Valerie said. She was the bad girl kinda character, like IDGAF kinda vibe.
As we got in the car, Clovis drove us to a different path than what we always took, and Valerie scowled, "Why are we going the opposite direction? Where are you taking us? Come on, dude I already have a morning Math class."
"Woah relax girl, I need to pick my mate up. Can't leave him behind for all I know." Clovis said and a wide smile plastered on his face just by talking about his mate.
Clovis had his 18th birthday a week ago and found his mate, Tyler, a cute little omega male.
Mate bonds were really special. I've read a lot of different books related to mate bonds, and I've also seen people around me with mates and how loving and caring they are to each other.
I've always dreamt of having a mate since I was a child, when grandpa used to tell me stories about mates and how grandma being his mate helped him through their rough journey, and I've seen my mom and dad and how important it was for them to be with each other.
My life has been exceptionally happy since childhood. I had all the love, care, attention, a good lifestyle, education, and everything a person could ask for. I've felt so much love and care from not only my family and friends but also from the members of the pack, and I want to give all that love and care to my mate, my other half.
I turned 18 three months ago but could not find my mate. I was really sad, but dad said we could visit the nearby packs to find my mate, and that's what I'm going to do this weekend.
I am just so desperate right now, like I've been waiting to meet them for so long, but I know I'll find them and love and cherish them with all I have.
Anyway, coming to the car, by the time I came out of my thoughts, we had reached Tyler's house. Clovis got out of the car, kissed his mate, and got back to the car with Tyler in the back seat and Clovis in the driving seat.
Tyler was a very cheerful guy, though he just talked a little too much. He was adorable, and it was good to have him around.
"Good morning, guys. How are you guys? How was the holiday? Are you excited for the new school year? Did guys have breakfast? I have some candies, does anybody want some?....." Tyler started talking and midway I blocked him out.
Yeah, that's Tyler. Well, he talks way too much, not just a little. I take it back.
Sometimes, I guess, he forgets to breathe.
Exactly! Ask the guy to take a break. I wonder how Zayn tolerates him, said Axe, my wolf in my head. Zayn is Clovis's wolf.
I know, right? I wish Clovis all the best. I replied to him.
Once we reached school, we said goodbye to Tyler and headed to our classrooms. The first three classes went by really fast. Right now, we were standing in front of the lockers, where I had taken the support of a locker to stand, and Valerie was doing something in her locker.
I was looking around the corridors when I saw a boy with a really big, green-colored hoodie on his small, petite body. He hid his face with a black cap and was fidgeting his fingers together and switching his weight from one leg to another. He eventually looked around for a glance before hiding his face again. He looked so nervous that I wanted to go to him and ask if he needed any help.
But before I could move, Valerie slammed the door of her locker with a loud sound, and his gaze immediately looked in our direction. He was looking at us intensely and was going to avert his gaze, but then he looked into my eyes.
I wanted to look away, move to him, or say something, but I couldn't. I was just stuck, lost in those honey brown eyes of his. I could see him struggling to avert his gaze or run away, but he was the same as me.
I could hear my best friends calling my name, but it sounded like a mumble to me, and just like that, I stood there looking into those eyes, for goddess knows how long!
Dun dun dun...🥁
