For once in my life, I woke up on time. However, I never want to do it again.
Opening my eyes was the worst mistake I could have made this morning. Regan's maniac smile was the first thing I saw. It was creepy! So creepy I screamed. "Happy birthday, Ertha-chan!" She introduced placing a party hat on my face.
I grabbed the hat tossed it. "Regan.. I'm tired... Let me get ready at least before you ambush me." Regan laughed. "Fine Grumpy butt, but expect hell downstairs." she added creepily tapping her fingers together evilly.
Then she was gone. If I didn't know that this wasn't the end I would have felt reassured. I sighed and walked to my master suite. Something told me that I should glamour myself up a little. It wasn't really my style, but why the hell not?
I added my usual eyeliner, but added the lightest shade of purple over my eyelids. Feeling it, I even added mascara and all that jazz. Nothing ridiculous, but enough to look a littler different and prettier.
For my wardrobe, I wore a light blue and white t-shirt with black shorts. It was an outfit my mother bought me before we left. I appreciated it now.
My eyes looked over myself in approval and went downstairs sneakily for breakfast. I was attempting to sneak out of the house before Regan noticed. I'd have to deal with a breakfast bar over cereal.
However, I wasn't so lucky. The second I reached the point I'd be spotted from the bottom of the stairs, I was. Regan was waiting for me at the bottom of the stairs to ambush me.
"C'mon birthday girl! Cake for breakfast! Sprite over milk! Forks over spoons!" Regan exclaimed happily.
This was going to be fun, but I knew I'd feel sick afterwards.
And I was right! After foolishly eating half a cake for breakfast, along with a crap load of sprite, I began hurling in the school bathroom.
"Curse you rainbow cake!! I wouldn't be so mad if it were chocolate! It just had to be rainbow." I cursed while sitting on the floor by the toilet I was throwing up into.
I felt sick, but that was expected. After that kind of food mass, anyone would feel sick. It would be another 10 minutes before I'd be comfortable leaving the bathroom. What a start to my beloved birthday...
Like I predicted, I was out in around 10 minutes, and I was out of that bathroom. The nurse said, that I wasn't sick sick, just an upset stomach, which is a big relief. And in case you didn't notice, there's sarcasm there. Regan said she had something else planned.
I now stand in P.E. We are taking a pacer test! Yippee!!! Not yippee. It's half the kids in our gym class first, then the other half second.
Luckily for me, I was on the second half. With Itachi! Yay! But Gaara was stuck running first. This I was bummed about.
Itachi walked up to me in my spot against the wall. His friends were frolicking elsewhere. "Hey! Uh..." He seemed kind of nervous. "Sasuke.. uh.. Needs help on his homework! Yes.. He was embarrassed to ask himself, so he asked me to ask. Could you come over after school?" I nodded. That'd be great! But can you give me a ride? It's a long walk..." I asked nervously as he nodded. "Yea, sure!" We smiled at each other at the same time.
"So, how was Sasori's party? Did he like the gift?" I asked to keep our conversation going. Being around him was nice, and an awkward silence wouldn't be best.
Itachi sighed, but not in a sad way. It was more content. He leaned back against the wall from leaning over his knees. "It went great. The present was a hit for him! Though I think Kisame knocked it out of the park with the glitter pens." He let out a chuckle.
It was funny. I had to give him that, so I gave him the satisfaction of a giggle. He talked about the party some more. His friends are hilarious let me tell you! This guy Hidan, who Regan hated quite a lot, was such a loud mouth! And his best friend Kisame, he's hilarious!
Speak of the devil. Kisame approached us. "Hey Itachi! Wanna hit the arcade later? Most of us will be there. Excluding the couple that's sooo in looove of course!" When he said that he put his hands together and leaned on one foot swooning with lovey-dovey eyes. I didn't know who he was talking about, but I didn't think it was my place to ask though
Itachi shook his head. "Sorry Fish sticks, I already have plans for after school. Next time." He apologized. 'What does he have planned?' I wondered.
Kisame hunched over with a pouty face. "Fine dude whatever! But you tell me all about it later!" He winked and walked away.
Was I missing something?
-After School-
It would have been way more efficient to make a meeting place. Because of this mistake, I stood in front of the school, looking like a lost puppy. Regan had left school early, and Gaara had to stay behind for tutoring.
I didn't know what to do now. I texted and called him, and I quickly looked around the school, but Itachi was nowhere to be found! I was nervous, very nervous. My feet were tapping, fingers drumming on my arm, and I was biting my lip.
Shuffling could be heard behind me, but I wasn't surprised. Apparently I wasn't the only person who was abandoned. Then I felt someone behind me, too close.
A shiver went down my spine when I heard and felt a voice by my ear. "Boo"
"There you are! I was looking all over for you!" Itachi called as he spotted us. "Yea I was too! Didn't you get my texts?" I asked and tilted my head, confused.
"Hm?" He took out his phone and turned it on. "Oh! You did text... Oops.. haha!" He laughed, obviously embarrassed by that. "Anyways let's get home. My car is parked over there." He pointed across the lot.
We walked in silence until we got there. Then we hopped in the car.
Their house was a lot closer than I imagined. The familiar house was only a five minute drive from the school. Last time I was here, I didn't take the time to really look at it, but it was huge! Probably twice as big as mine.
Itachi looked excited, but I didn't know why. What were his plans for tonight like he said to Kisame. "c'mon! Sasuke's inside already. We left the car and walked up to the door. Itachi took out his keys and unlocked the door and opened it.
Music drifted to my ears. Happy music the second the door opened. We walked in, but I was more cautious. Then we reached the living room.
"Surprise!"
