{Roommates}

They officially became roommates, not by choice but only for Sonic's safety considering that his house got broken into. If they're going to be living together, there will be some ground rules set so nothing bad happens to one another.

Shadow's P.O.V.
It was the day after Sonic had his anxiety attack, I was bringing in a white board that was in the closet while Sonic was waiting for me in the living room, I set it up correctly and grabbed a erase marker. "Alright Sonic, If you're going to be living here we have to set some ground rules for in and outside of the apartment complex cause id be damned if I see a single camera person here" Sonic nodded in agreement as i started writing down the rules, I can feel him patiently waiting as i looked back at him. . He looks like a puppy waiting for something, I went back to writing and moved away from the board; "Rule #1: Anything that's yours such as clothes, mug, and others stay in your room of designated place. Rule #2: Shoes stay at the door before you even take another step in here, I already mop enough from my cat-" I paused as Sonic put his hand up, this isnt school but I rolled my eyes and pointed the marker at him; "You have a cat? I haven't seen it around here. Unless im sitting on it-!" Sonic exclaimed as he started to move around the couch checking in case he was, I hit the marker on the board and it caught his attention immediately. "She's not here, she's with Rouge for a while so she wasn't here when you came. Back to the rules, Rule #3: You will not come in the complex through the front door. There's a path near the forest to the back and you can come here that way as long as you have the back door key which it attached to the spare key i gave you. And lastly #4: Dont open the door for anyone except the ones who knock 5 times which is mostly Rouge and she comes here often. Got a question?" Sonic shook his head as I moved the white board to the side; "What about anything romantic?" Sonic asked, I almost tripped with the white board but caught it on time, why would be question that? "Why would you ask something like that?" I asked as i put the white board away, Sonic got up and stretched a bit as I shut the closet door. "I mean, if you ever get a girlfriend or something that's mostly why i asked" I scoffed a bit as Sonic said that to think id ever have a lover, there isnt any time for that. . Though id be lying when I say that I got feelings and stuff, I turned to him and handed him a broom and dustpan; "That won't happen anytime soon, another rule: around this time I deep clean everything, its something I do so i wont forget about it some other time. Can you deal with that?" Sonic nodded at my question as I grabbed some stuff and started cleaning with him, there was some small talk but it was drowned with music. .

Couple hours passed by as we were finally done, we both sat down on the couch tiredly and I leaned back; "Heh. . . We did it. ." Sonic said while holding his fist out to me for a fist bump, I looked at him and rolled my eyes as i gave him a slight fist bump, I could tell he was tired as his hand went down wobbling. "Don't die from cleaning now" I said as Sonic chuckled at what i said as he also leaned back; "Nah. . . Im just very. . tired. . ." He said faintly, I sit up a little as I looked out of the window to see that it was starting to get dark since we were up early. "Well, you can head to your room if your tired-" as i said that, I felt a head land on my shoulder and soft snoring on my right side, I looked over a bit and Sonic was already sound asleep. . I kept looking at him then looked ahead of me since I was also getting tired "Or you can rest here, that's fine too. ." I said quietly as I slowly drifted to sleep as well while sitting up. It was around 1am when I woke up, I looked over at Sonic who was still asleep. . I gently stood up and laid him on the couch carefully and went to the closet in the hallway, grabbing a small blanket and went back over to Sonic. I put the blanket over him and sat on the floor, turning on the tv and putting it in low volume, I watched some TV as I heard some shuffling which made me look over, Sonic was awake and rubbing his eye while sitting up. "Mm.. How long was I out for?" Sonic asked as he stretched; "Its 1am so a couple hours. . ." I responded while yawning, my eyes were still on the tv as Sonic watched as well, no one spoke as the shows on tv kept playing until Sonic stood up. "Im gonna shower first, is that okay?" Sonic asked, I nodded in response as he went to his room to grab his shower stuff and went in the bathroom. I pulled out my phone and dialed a number and waited for them to pick up; "So, how's living with the blue blur shady boy?" Rouge said as i sighed I laid back a bit while talking to her; "Surprisingly, not as bad as i thought but its the first day of living here so who knows, the faker can clean but i don't know if he'd wanna go back out after what happened yesterday" I explained as Rouge reciprocated.

"Well, are you gonna allow him to go out and stretch his legs?" I sat and thought about it for a moment, because thats all up to him. . But what if something does happen out there while he's running? "Its what he wants to do, we talked about it while cleaning today so he still wants to run. As long as he doesn't disobey the rules he's fine to do whatever. But I'll call you back later im gonna shower" I explained Rouge understood as I hung up, Sonic was just getting out and I knew I had to wait a while to get in myself so i started going through my phone. After a while I felt someone's gaze behind me, I looked over and saw Sonic who was focused on what I was doing, I got up and got my stuff to take a shower as well and it got me thinking, how will this even work? I guess we'll find out soon enough.

5 months of Living Together

Sonic's P.O.V.
It had been 5 months since Shadow ans I lived together, we did our own things that were outside of the apartment. I was fighting evil, Shadow was working everything was okay, Though there were times that I had my anxiety attacks due to the press pushing me to tell them where I live now. I was inside sitting on the floor after another press interview, I felt so drained and Shadow came over and handed me my pills and water just in case. He has been there for my episodes, but I feel like I haven't done the same, I stood up and took my pills as I went over to him. He was looking at some stuff for a new job; "Hey Shads? Thanks for being here. . Again through this" I said, Shadow looked at me and sat up a bit; "You don't really need to thank me every chance you get, its no big de-" before he could finish, an explosion could be heard from the distance which made Shadow and I run to the balcony, smoke and fire can be seen ans I knew I had to act fast before people get hurt or killed. I stood on the balcony railing and ran down the complex, running to the scene. . It had only been a few minutes and the whole area was halfway destroyed; "If It isnt Sonic The Hedgehog. You're too late! Almost all of my botniks destroyed half of the city and it'll be plenty more!" Eggman said laughing manically, I got angry and charged up ready to fight him head on but before I did, one of his robots hit me hard and made me crash into a building that was already destroyed. I groaned in pain and got back up, and started fighting them while also protecting the civilians who were caught in the crossfire, but everytime I was even close to eggman I was stopped each time. I was too weak to even stand as Eggman hovered over me with a laser. . "Its over hedgehog" I shut my eyes as I heard the beam get louder until. . . I heard it get destroyed.

I looked up and saw Shadow standing in front of me, I tried sitting up but didnt have enough strength. "Move it Egg for Brains, before I make you" Shadow said as he was ready to fight, Eggman unleashed more robots but every single one was destroyed in minutes. Eggman looked defeated as he went to his last resort, pressing a button that made more buildings explode. "HELP!!! HELP ME PLEASE!!" I looked over and saw the little girl crying and shaking in fear. . Before the building crashed down, I dashed over to her and shielded her with my body as the building fell on top of me. Shadow was fighting eggman until he retreated with his robots. The whole area was a nightmare. . .

". . . . SONIC!!!" that was the only thing I heard in the distance. . Shadow's voice.
