Y/n's POV

I was awake before everyone else minus Gaara since he was the last watch. We haven't spoken since I told him that I had a tailed beast inside me. Though I have no clue why I did tell him. Maybe it was because Lloyd was determined that we become friends. "Morning," I said politely.

He looked at me and then away. I waited but he didn't say anything. I was just about to give up when he said, "Good morning."

Huh, looks like he's trying too. I smiled. "It seems quiet this morning."

"A little too quiet," Lloyd said making me jump.

"When did you get up!?!" I yelped.

He smiled. "Ten seconds after you did."

I scowled. "So you were listening?"

He nodded then turned to Gaara. "No one even tried to disturb us last night which I believe is odd."

Kankuro nodded as he came over. "You'd think they'd want to try and get our scroll while we were asleep."

"That would make sense because it would be easier that way," Temari agreed as she stretched.

Or they're were too scared to come at us because of Gaara," I muttered. Lloyd glared. "Sorry," I mumbled.

Temari shook her head. "Lloyd, I think she's right. They do view Gaara as a threatening presence."

Lloyd's jaw tightened. "They shouldn't make assumptions but I understand what you're saying."

Wow, he's really protective of Gaara, I thought to myself. "So what's the plan?" I asked.

"We keep moving until we come upon a team that has the scroll we need," Temari said.

"Which scroll do we have again?" Kankuro said.

"Heaven," we all said at the same time minus Gaara.

"So we need the Earth Scroll. Maybe that group Lloyd was talking to has it."

Lloyd frowned. "You mean Naruto's group?"

"Yeah."

I snorted. "You just want it to be them so you can fight them."

"That is not true," he said but he was looking away from us when he said it.

"Liar," I murmured.

Lloyd's POV

"Let's just go," I said. We started walking. Gaara, Y/n, and I walked beside each other. "What's your tailed beast's name?" I asked Y/n suddenly.

She glanced at me. "Tana."

"And she's a Silver Sand Tanuki."

"Yes. Where are you going with this, Lloyd?"

"Well...I'm just saying you two both have a Tanuki inside of you and..."

"Both our tailed beasts have different personalities," she interrupted.

I scowled. "Ever heard of not interrupting?" I shook my head. "I know they have different personalities. I'm not saying you two are the same. I'm just saying that maybe if you two would talk to each other instead of being mean you'd be able to help the other out."

She frowned and glanced at Gaara. "I doubt Gaara wants my help on anything."

"I'm getting help from you, Lloyd," Gaara said ignoring her.

I sighed. "I know but you're both my friends and I'd like you two to be friends. Or at least get along for more the five seconds!"

Y/n narrowed her eyes at me. "We do get along for longer than that and we're trying to be friends. For you because we both want you in our lives."

I looked away and we walked in silence for a while. It's not like I can go anywhere! I'm stuck in this world and I miss the...No! I clapped a lid on that thought. I will not think of Ninjago. I can't. My home is here now. I paused and saw Kiba, Hinata, and Shino up ahead. Oh no. Not them. "Maybe they have an Earth Scroll," Kankuro said. "Hey, you three."

"They have names," I muttered.

Y/n looked at me. "You know them?"

I nodded. "I met them when I went for a walk."

"Hey, Lloyd," Kiba said. "I guess we'll get to see how strong you are."

"Umm, I don't think said," I said nervously.

"Why not?"

"Because I'd rather still be friends with you guys." I glance at Hinata. "And Hinata's Byakugan won't be telling you anything about me since I don't use Chakra."

"I think Lloyd should fight them," Gaara said.

I looked at him. "Why?" He just looked at me. "Oh."

Y/n glared at him. "Do you even care about him at all?"

"Y/n," I snapped.

She whirled. "He only wants you to do it to see if he needs to kill you."

"Y/n, stop," I said through gritted teeth. I turned to Kiba's team. "Which scroll do you have?"

"Why?" Kiba asked.

"I'm not going to fight you if you have the same one we do."

"We have the Earth Scroll."

Dammit. "Okay then." I adjusted my stance. "Let's fight." I suppose it's better that I fight him instead of Gaara. That way no one will accidentally get killed. Though Gaara might actually mean to kill them.

Kiba looked at me. "I think he should fight Hinata."

I mentally winced. I didn't want to hurt her. "Okay."

She stepped forward. "Byakugon," she said. I waited. She blinked.

"I told you that your Byakugon won't be able to help you against me," I said evenly. She threw a punch and I caught it. Then I twisted and knocked her legs out from under her. She got up and threw another punch. I flipped backward and let her miss then I did spinjitsu. I knocked her down and then stopped. I waited for her to do something.

She got up and backed away. "He wins," she whispered.

"Maybe I should kill her for being weak," Gaara muttered.

I shot him a dark look. "No." I turned to the others and held out my hand. "The scroll?"

Kiba glared. "Oh no. I'm going next."

I sighed and dropped my hand. "Okay. But I'm not going to fight you."

"What?"

I turned to Y/n. "You're next."

Her eyes widened. "What?"

I motioned for her to go forward. "You fight."

She huffed. "Fine." She stepped forward. "Let's get this over with."

I moved so I was standing beside Gaara. "You aren't going to let me fight, are you?" Gaara  murmured.

I looked at him. "It's not really my choice. I just want to keep them alive at the moment."

"You think I'll kill them." I gave him a look. "Okay, I can understand why you think that," he said. "But you can't stop me from fighting all the time."

I shrugged. "I know." I paused. "Hey, when did everyone vote me in for leader?"

He shrugged. "I think it just automatically happened when you started taking charge."

I winced. "It's a habit. I was the leader back in Ninjago."

Y/n won the battle and got the scroll. We walked away and then made camp. "Did you see me?" Y/n asked me and Gaara. "I'm not weak am I?"

Gaara glared. "I could kill you even if you aren't weak. You just have to annoy me enough."

I sighed. And they were back at each other's throats. "Okay, enough," I said. "Let's all get some sleep and then head to the tower tomorrow."

"Okay," Y/n said. "Are we going to keep the watch order we did last night?"

"Yeah." So they all went to bed and I stayed awake to keep watch. Nothing happened at all that night.
