Y/n's POV

After a month of training, we all went to the big arena. Lloyd didn't look happy that the day was finally here. The first battle was Naruto versus Neji. We watched as Naruto literally disappeared and came shooting out of the ground. "That's a cool move," I murmured.

"I wonder how he dug a hole that quickly," Lloyd said.

I shrugged. "It's a good thing he did because it helped him win this match."

"Yeah."

We both scowled when Kankuro said he forfeited. We watched Temari battle Shikamaru (Apparently they didn't have enough so they added him.). Then it was mine and Lloyd's turned.

Lloyd shifted uncomfortably. "I..."

"Forfeit and I make sure Gaara does kill you," I said sharply.

He glared. "I don't want to fight my friend," he snapped.

"Maybe I want to fight you. Ever think of that?"

He flipped and landed in the arena. "Then come and fight me. Just don't get mad when you lose."

I landed on the opposite side. "I believe you mean 'if' I lose."

He went into a fighting stance. "No, I meant what I said. You told me you didn't want me to hold back, so I won't."

I grinned. "Good."

Lloyd's POV

I didn't want to do this but I had no choice. She wanted to fight me and I think she purposely just irritated me so I'd fight her. I watched her. She weaved her hands. "Water Style: Water Wolves!" She yelled. Three wolves made out of water ran at me. I touched the ground and the ground absorbed them. I formed an ice ball and chucked at her. She caught it which made me smirk. It exploded and the shards cut her. She chuckled. "Nice move."

I shrugged. "It's something I learned I could do here." By 'here' I meant this world and I saw that she understood. Somehow my powers had gotten some kind of upgrade and I could do things I couldn't do before with them. I sent fireballs at her and she used her silver sand to block them. She sent her sand my way and I made an earth wall to block it. Then I formed an ice ball again and chucked it at her.

She dodged. "I'm not going to fall for that one again."

I snorted and twisted my fingers. The ice ball came back at her and hit her in the back of the head which knocked her out. I won the fight. I walked back up to where my team was. "She's not weak," I murmured to Gaara. "You can't kill her. I told everyone that I was powerful."

"I'm not going to kill her," Gaara returned.

I raised an eyebrow. "Oh, really? You aren't even thinking about it?"

"No."

Y/n woke up and came over to us. She scowled at me. "Remind me to never fight you again."

I sighed. "I told you that we shouldn't fight each other."

"I want to see you fight Gaara," Y/n shot back. "See who wins that fight."

I shook my head. "Stop. I don't want to fight my friends, okay?"

"Fine. Now it's Gaara versus Sasuke."

I glanced at Gaara and saw his look. "He looks eager to fight him too," I murmured.

She followed my gaze and blinked. "Wow. I guess he does." We watched as Sasuke popped up in a swirl of leaves. "Way to make an entrance," Y/n added. Gaara left the area. We heard the screams and Y/n flinched.

"Shukaku is too close to the surface," I said unhappily.

"You keep pointing out that he isn't Shukaku and Shukaku isn't him but Shukaku seems to be in more control than Gaara," Y/n said quietly.

I looked at the arena. "I know." We stared in amazement when Sasuke actually caused Gaara to bleed. Then Gaara started losing it. All three of us launched ourselves into the arena. "Gaara," I hissed. "Don't."

"You can't. It's not time yet," Y/n said panicking.

"Get him out of here," Baki snapped at us.

We did. However, I doubled back and ran to where the Hokage was. I slipped inside just before the barrier went up. I hid and watched. When the Hokage got stabbed I launched myself over and said quietly, "Let me give you some of my strength." He looked at me, saw that I wasn't trying to help Orochimaru, and nodded. I put my hand on his shoulder and shoved my strength toward him. The Hokage sealed Orochimaru's arms and collapsed. I collapsed beside him and blacked out.

When I woke up and found Naruto and the others hovering over me. I groaned. "Hey! He's awake," Naruto yelled.

I winced. "Ow," I said.

"Sorry."

"We heard you helped the Hokage," Sakura said. "So we decided to come and thank you in person."

I shook my head and regretted it instantly. "He still died. I didn't butt in until he already had the stupid sword in his chest. All I did was lend him my strength so he could finish sealing Orochimaru's arms."

"We still want to thank you."

I looked at all the teams I saw in the Chuni Exams. "You all came to thank me?"

"Yes."

My eyes landed on Sasuke and Naruto. "Good, he didn't kill you."

Shikarmaru's eyes widened. "You knew he was like that!?!"

I sighed. "Yeah, I've been trying to get him to change." I smiled. "Though I think Naruto is the only one who succeeded in that."

Naruto blinked. "You think I helped change him?"

I grunted. "You are a Jinchuriki after all."

"How do you know that?"

I snorted. "I have two friends who are Jinchuriki's. I notice things."

"Two?" Sakura said frowning. "We know Gaara but who's the other?"

Would she want these guys to know? Oh, who cares. "Y/n," I mumbled tiredly. I looked around again. "None of my teams here."

"Yeah. Um, one of them, I think his name was Baki, said that you'll have to make your way back on your own," Sakura said.

My mouth twitched. "Of course, he did. I didn't do what I was supposed to so my punishment is going home alone."

"What were you supposed to do?" Hinata asked quietly.

"Capture Naruto and kill anyone who tries to stop me." I stretched and groaned. "Ouch!"

"Yeah, you might feel weak from losing your strength but you sustain some injuries too," Sakura said. "Or that's what the doctors said."

I sighed. "Looks like I'm staying here for a bit."

They all nodded. "Don't worry. Your village was told that you'd have to stay here for a while," a girl I haven't met said.

I blinked. "Um, not to be rude but...who are you?"

"Ten Ten."

"Oh." My eyes started to fall closed.

"Hey, I still want to talk to you," Naruto said.

"Shh, let him sleep. It's the only way he's going to heal," Sakura said.

That was the last thing I heard before I fell asleep.
