War Over

Y/n's POV

I woke up with a groan. My eyes slid open to see Gaara sitting beside me. "Gaara?" I said blinking.

He looked at me. "Y/n! You're awake."

I sat up. "What did I miss?"

"The war is over."

I looked around. "Where's Lloyd?"

At that, Gaara looked away. "He's still passed out."

"Passed out?"

"He collapsed shortly after I left to help you, Naruto, and Sasuke. He used up too much strength."

"Huh. For us it's Chakra, for him it's strength."

"Yes."

"So how did you heal me? Madara stabbed me all the way through."

"He did. Sakura managed to save you."

"Oh." I frowned. "Couldn't Lloyd be healed by Sakura? Or the Medic Ninja?"

"Temari brought him to the Medic Area but it only healed him enough so he could walk on his own for a little bit."

"And he's still not awake?"

He shook his head and stood. "Come on. I'll show you to his room."

I got up and followed him. When we got there Lloyd was out of it. One of our Medical Ninja was standing over him. "Is he okay?" I asked.

"His strength is still really low. I don't know when he'll wake up." She looked at him. "There's a slight chance he won't wake up at all."

"No," I whispered.

"He'll wake up," Gaara said sharply. "He's stubborn. He won't leave us."

Lloyd's POV

I was in a dark room. I frowned. "Where am I?"

"Hello, Lloyd," a voice I recognized said.

I turned. "Obito? Aren't you dead?"

He nodded. "Yes." 

A girl with brown hair stood beside him. "You must be Rin," I said.

She smiled. "I am."

I looked around. "Wait. I'm not dead, am I?"

"No, you're in a coma," Obito said. "We thought we should tell you the war is over. Y/n and Gaara are both okay."

"Temari and Kankuro?"

"They're okay. Naruto, Sasuke, and Sakura too."

"Okay."

"Do you remember why you collapsed?" Rin asked.

I nodded. "The healing area only healed me a little. I barely had any strength. So I passed out."

"Yup, and you're still out of it."

"Y/n was injured badly but they were able to heal her," Obito added.

I frowned. "What do you mean?"

"Madara stabbed her. Sakura saved her just in time."

"Both she and Gaara are hovering around you now," Rin said. "Your parents aren't too happy either."

I sighed. "Yeah, I bet they're mad at Y/n."

"Oh, they are."

"How do I wake up?"

"You'll wake up when your strength returns," Obito said.

I groaned then blinked. "Wait. I overdid it in the past but I didn't slip into a coma. Why did I now?"

"Because back then you gave up your strength. This time you used it to burn something," Rin explained.

"Oh." I started pacing. "Well, I hope I wake up soon. Also, shouldn't I be able to hear what they're saying?"

"Because your powers are blocking it."

Y/n's POV

I watched him for a while. "Do you think he's going to wake up?"

"He needs to regain his strength. It will be a while," Gaara replied.

I sighed. "I know. But it's taking longer than it did when he gave up his strength in Konoha."

"He didn't use that strength. He just gave it up," Gaara pointed out. "This time he did."

"I guess." Lloyd twitched. "Hey, he moved!" Lloyd groaned and his eyes slid open. He blinked then shut his eyes again. "Lloyd, open your eyes," I begged.

"I don't want to," he muttered. "It's too bright in here."

"How do you feel?" Gaara asked.

"Tired." He squinted. "Is the war really over?"

I frowned. "Who told you that?"

"Obito and Rin." Seeing our confused expressions he added, "They told me while I was in the mini coma."

"Oh."

"Yes, the war is over," Gaara said. "We don't have anything to worry about now."

"Sasuke is on the good side?" Lloyd asked sitting up with a wince.

I nodded. "Yup. He's missing an arm but he's on our side."

He blinked. "What?"

"Naruto and Sasuke both fought. They both lost an arm. Naruto will be getting his back but Sasuke doesn't want to," Gaara explained.

"Oh." He was silent for a minute then looked at me. "You didn't actually get stabbed by Madara, did you?"

I scowled. "How did Obito know that?"

His eyes widened. "It actually happened?"

I looked away. "Yes. But I woke up before you so you can't get mad."

He snorted. "I'm not going to get mad." He laid back down tiredly and shut his eyes. "I'm going back to sleep."

Gaara nodded. "Get as much rest as you need, Lloyd."

Lloyd opened one eye. "Are you going to stay here the entire time I sleep?"

"You are kinda cute when you're sleeping," I said.

Both Lloyd's eyes snapped open and he sat up. "What?"

I blushed. "I...uh...nothing."

Gaara snorted. "I believe you just admitted you liked him."

I felt my face grow redder. "I did no such thing." I ran out of the room.

Lloyd's POV

I looked at Gaara. "Did I just imagine that or did she actually admit it?"

He grinned. "Nope. You didn't imagine it. She did admit how she feels."

I flopped backward. "I'm too tired to go after her."

"You can do that later."

I shut my eyes. "Yeah." I fell asleep.
