Nandini's pov

I would see all these shows and these movies where characters would move their entire life from one city to another but they never made it seem like it was this hard. They usually are going to the airport with a coffee and two suitcases and then there is me.

I have 5 suitcases, a red bull in my hand because I am dead, I am so low on energy and instead of the airport, I am travelling in a train, and gosh it is so crowded. I got sat next to an old uncle who was chatting up a whole storm and not to mention the different smells in the train

I feel like I am going to gag, just thinking about it, but hey no need to think about it again because I am not getting on a train again.

I was currently sitting outside the train station waiting for my best friend to come pick me up, I was in such a bad place back home that I was so close to ending things, and by things I mean my life. It took a lot of will power and a lot of support from my best friend to leave that house.

'Im right outside, where are you' I see a text from my best friend

'So am I'

'Well I can't see you' I chuckle seeing the text

'I can't either, we must be blind' I giggle typing the text out

"Nandini" I hear her yell

"muktiiii" I yell back running up to her

We both started laughing like we were high but gosh it feels so good to be hugged by someone who cares. I love mukti, her and I have been best friends since college and now we are both working as fashion designers. I had moved from Mumbai back to Mangalore after college because my parents forced me to

"How are you?" She asks pulling back

"Good, great. What about you?"

"Perfect now that you are here. Listen there is no way you are going anywhere okay" she says helping me put the suitcases in her car

"Thank you for letting me stay with you" I whisper

"Don't be stupid, you and I are soulmates nandini plus my house is so empty, it's me and Manik, well sometimes our friends come over but yeah. I anyway spend most of my time on the phone with you" I giggle hearing her

"And your brother, mhm he is okay wiht me staying over?" I ask as we sit in the car

"Ramesh uncle this is nandini and Nandini this is uncle, he will drive you anywhere you want"

"Namatey uncle" I whisper

"Khush raho beti" he says with a warm smile, something I haven't seen in my household

"Uncle be cool" mukti says

"Be happy, yo" uncle says with the coolest accent making me laugh

"Sup uncle" I mumble back

"Nothing much yo"

"You are so cool" I giggle

"Yes I am" he says chuckling at us

"You brother, is he okay with me staying over?" I ask knowing he is moody

Here is the thing, I have never met her brother throughout college because he was in Australia for business or something I don't know but she always mentioned how moody he is

"Yeah, well I haven't asked him yet but I know he will be fine"

"What? You haven't asked?" I yell

"Relax, he is going to be fine with it. He barely even leaves his room, actually that's a lie"
