I woke up when nandini was pulling away from me causing my eyes to flutter open
"Stop trying to run away from me" I say tightening my hold on her waist
"Im not silly, I need to go and get this mehendi off and then we need to get ready. Come on you get up too" she says leaning down and kissing my cheeks
"No just stay"
she lays back down in my arms facing me, I rub her back gently while she looks at me, her eyes were slightly puffy making me smile. Whenever she wakes up her eyes are puffy, her lips slightly pouty and the urge to taste her is always so overpowering.
I don't know how I haven't lost control and kissed her yet but gosh I always want, especially when she pouts at me unknowingly, it takes all my strength to not pull her in a kiss
"I thought about you at the mall today" she whispers nudging my nose with hers
"Yeah? What did you specifically think about?" I ask
"I saw a lot of couple and I just missed having you there. There were also times I wanted to call and ask for your opinion"
"Nandini you can call me whenever you want, it doesn't matter how busy I am, I will always pick up. You know what, I will actually come with you the next time, does that sound okay?"
"Yes please, I missed you" she whispers
"I missed you too little one" I whisper kissing her nose
her eyes are so deep, her emotions reflect in her eyes, I love how much of an open book she is in terms of that.
i caress her cheeks gently, her eyes close in satisfaction. I kiss her head pulling her to my chest, she giggles moving her palms away not to get it on me which is the cutest
"I should make you a tattoo" she says
"Yeah? Id let you make me a tattoo" I tell her
"Not permanent one manic, I mean with mehendi. Would you let me make one?" she asks me
"Sure"
She smiles wide nodding
"Is this party going to be huge?" She asks
"Yup but we don't need to stay too long"
"Okay enough cuddles mr malhotra, lets get ready" she says and she isn't wrong, we had to be somewhere
I groan a bit making her giggle
"You are so naughty" I say poking her nose with my finger making her laugh
"Go get ready" I say moving my arms away from her
"Make sure you are dressed good mr malhotra, we don't want people commenting on how your mhm how I look better than you do" she says teasing
I noticed how she didn't know what she is to me but that will change tonight, she doens't know that yet but it will.
"Make sure you can look half as good as me"
"Ill make sure to look better than you and I can guarantee that I will have a few humans falling in love with me" she mummers making me smirk
She isn't wrong, she is absolutely right, but I know that if I do see any falling for her, I will break their faces
I get ready in this black Kurta Pajama, I was setting my hair when cabir calls me
"Happy diwali" he wishes
"Happy diwali" I reply
"Oh my god, that little girl has got you feelings things"
"what the hell are you talking about" I mumble
"You never wish them you just hum, but she has got you wishing them. Damn I love her"
"cabir" I warn
"Obviously not like that but she is a good influence on you manik"
"she is" I whisper back smiling
"Stop smiling like a fool in love, what time are you getting there?' He asks
"In a bit, I am ready so we are just about to leave" I tell him
"Sounds good, I will see you there" he says
I cut the call and taking one final look at myself I walk out of the room grabbing my Wallet and keys walking to Nandini's room which was empty so I walk down to the living room.
I stop breathing for a second when she catches my eyes. I couldn't remember how to breath or how breathing even works. She had stollen my breath away literally.
her face lit up as she was lighting diya's with mukti, her hair curled, some strands falling on her face. She had these two braids that were tied back flowing into beautiful curls
She is wearing this beautiful black lehenga with golden embroidery. Her left wrist adored with bangles making noise and the right one had her bracelets dangling.
"Bhai look we made rangoli" mukti says
I did not want to move my eyes away from Nandini but I had to, I look at mukti who laughs walking to me showing the rangoli she made.
"It's perfect muku, you did so good" I say kissing her head
"You should see nandini" she says pulling me to show nandini's
"It's perfect" I say, my eyes on nadnini
"I am going to go, abhi is here. Bye nandu bye bhai"
"bye" I whisper
Nandini hugs her before she leaves and I couldn't help but pull nandini's arm
"Manik" she gasps banging against my chest
"Nandini I don't know what to say, my words won't do justice. Baby you look so god damn gorgeous, you are beautiful princess" I whisper kissing her forehead
Her cheeks turn red making me smile
"You look handsome too" she whispers
"Why aren't you wearing earrings?" I ask
"I don't know where I put them" she whispers sadly
"Well then it's perfect because I have something for you"
her eyebrows furrow a little looking at me curiously as I step back grabbing a little bag from my pocket
"Open them" I say
she looks at me curiously before she starts to open the little bag
"Oh my gosh" she gasps
"Do you like them?" I ask
"I love them, they are beautiful manik" she whispers
when I was on my way back home from the office a couple days ago I saw these jhumkas and I don't know why but I loved, absolutely loved them for nandini.
"Can you help me wear them?' She asks
I nod as she turns her back to me, pulling her hair on one side. I help her with the rubber backing off the earring.
I couldn't help but lean down and place a kiss on her shoulder making her shiver
"Manik"
"I don't know how to control myself around you nandini. You look so perfect" I whisper
she turns around hugging me as I rub her back
"I love the jhumkas manik, it's perfect, they are beautiful" i smile hearing her
"Come on love, lets go" I say interlocking my fingers with hers
Her heels click as we walk to the car, I open the door for her and she sits in, her dupata was hung out the door so I bend down to pick it up. I bunch it placing it on her lap closing her door
"Thank you' she whispers
i smile getting in the car
