"Nandini"
she doesn't say anything instead she stares at me as if she is wanting to take one good look at me before she leaves and that kills me. I hate the way her eyes are trying to absorb every inch of me and I hate how blank she looks right now
My Nandini's eyes are always filled with love and mischief, her eyes always make me want to drown in them but today they are as black as a piece of paper
for a split second she breaks character but that doesn't last long as the bag falls from her hands and she faints in my arms.
"RAMESH UNCLE" I scream taking nandini up to our room
"Is she okay?' He asks
"No, can you please grab Dr meheta, ask him to come immediately"
he does't even respond jsut runs to go make that phone call
I quickly took the scarf she was wearing off, covering her with blankets as I rub her hands because she was ice cold
I notice red marks on her neck, I have never seen marks like that on her neck. I do know she scratches at her neck when she is stressed and anxious about something, but the marks on her neck weren't small they were huge
"Nandini baby wake up' I whisper kissing her hand that was in mine
"Please please just wake up, I promise you can yell at me all you want, you can even scream at me, you can hit me. I will take you tot e beach in the middle of the night and get you tons of coffee, please wake up love"
"Manik baba, Dr meheta is here" uncle says
I quickly get up and he walks in
"I don't know what happened, she fainted, please wake her up"
"Not a fling huh?" He jokes
"Not the time dude, wake her up first" I almost lose it
Dr meheta and I have always had a very fun loving relationship so him and I Joke around all the time.
"Relax, she is fine. Her breathing is normal, she likely fainted due to stress of exhuastion. When was the last time she ate?" He asks
"Last night around 2 or 3 in the morning, she had a rice bowl with chicken and some candy"
"She is fine Manik, relax"
"Then why won't she wake up"
"She will, just relax. These marks on her neck, have you seen them before?"
"No, I don't know how she got them"
"They are nail marks, she was scratching at her neck. They might burn so ice them and she needs to eat more. Other then that she is okay"
"Are you sure? She hasn't woken up yet"
"I have a doctors degree for a reason Manik, she is fine. I will give her an injection and she should be up shortly" he says
"What the hell does shortly mean? In a minute or hours?"
"A few hours"
"NO WAKE HER UP NOW" I scream
"Calm down dude, she is fine, she needs rest so either I wake her up now forcefully and harm her or"
"No no it's fine, don't harm her" I whisper sitting down by her feet
"Manik you are so in love and I am so proud of you" he says patting my back
i try giving him a smile but fail miserably at it because all I could think about was nandini, just nandini
"She will be okay, give me a call if you need anything" he says giving her an injection
"Thank you so much" I whisper
"Take care of her and don't ever let her go, she makes you happy"
"She does" I whisper
i thank him again before ramesh uncle goes to drop him off.
"Please wake up soon princess" I whisper kissing nandini's lips
My heart breaks when she doesn't move or respond like she alway does. No matter how deep of a sleep she is in, she is always responding to my kisses. There was even a time when I pecked her lips and she puckered her lips to meet my kisses
Sometimes she smiles slightly in her sleep when I kiss her, other times she will cuddle closer to me but today she didn't respond to me. She didn't feel my kisses and that hurts me so much
"I love you" I mutter kissing her forehead
I quickly changed and sat beside her on the bed waiting for her to wake up.
Honestly, hours today felt like weeks but when Nandini is talking, it always feels like the day is too short.
i did work on a few contracts but my focus was on nandini, I was starting to get very anxious and agitated so I put my laptop away and started caressing her hair.
"Please wake up, please" I beg
I don't ever beg, but for her id beg on my knees, I would do anything for nandini
She stirs a little and I was on alert right away. I sit up looking at her, she stirs a little more before her beautiful eyes open.
"Nandini" I whisper
Her eyes find mine and tears start lining her lower lash line, she closes her eyes to hush those tears away but they just come back stronger, running down her face from the corner of her eyes
"Shh don't cry, you are okay" I mumble trying not to cry myself
she does't say anything so I lean down and kiss her head
"Look at me butterfly, let me see those beautiful eyes" I whisper kissing her nose
She shakes her head but her hand finds mine that was beside her she grips my hand tighter then she ever has.
"Please Jaan, talk to me"
she turns hiding her face against my side
Sighing I pick her up laying her on top of me, she hides her face in my neck
"Ahh" she screams touching her arm
"What's wrong?' I ask looking at the arm she was looking at
"It hurts" she complains looking
"It will sting for a little bit, Dr meet had to inject you"
"Inject me?' She asks rubbing her nose against my chin
"Yes, you fainted" I whisper
"You are supposed to be my boyfriend, why would you let him inject me like that?" She asks
"He had to"
"It hurts" she whispers
"It will be okay, let's not touch the bandaid okay"
"But it's bad, it hurts"
"Shh look at me" I say moving her chin to face me
Her eyes weren't blank anymore, she was thinking
