Draco and his goons, Crabbe and Goyle, waltz down the walkway of the Great Hall. "Make way! Make way!" Draco pushed a few students out of the way as Merla walked into the Great Hall.
Fred and George Weasley had both just entered their names. Now the attention shifted towards Merla as she waltz in the great hall. She thought the show Draco was putting on was ridiculous. But she found it cute. The boys started rile everyone in the crowd up. A strum of drumming began.
Harry and Hermione even found themselves stomping their feet as Merla shook her head. She placed her name into the goblet and smiled as it didn't spit the paper back out at her.
The crowd cheered loudly, the Durmstrang and Beauxbatons students looked on curious on who the popular student was. The drumming unintentionally started once again when Cedric walked into the Great Hall.
He shook his head at everyone, just like Merla had done. He walked past his friends and threw his name into the Goblet. Then Angelina Johnson came into the Great Hall.
Everyone repeated themselves once again as she walked down the steps of the Great Hall. Three in a row. Was someone from Ravenclaw going to enter?
"That was hilarious." Lori smiled as she brought her polaroid camera down. The paper instantly began to print.
"You got my photo?" Merla asked, leaning over the girls shoulder to look. "Is it developing?"
Lori shrugged Merla's head off her shoulder. "Yes, and yes." The three went and sat at Slytherin table.
Although Cedric and Kara were Hufflepuff, you were allowed to sit anywhere for breakfast. Especially on a weekend. Merla and Cedric received pats on the back as they sat down.
"Five galleons on Merla!" A first year boy shouted.
His friend next to him, also a Hufflepuff shook his head. "Five galleons it's Cedric!"
Madame Maxine entered the hall, her students followed in a neat line. Each and everyone of them put their names into the goblet. "Scope out our competition Cedric."
The two chitter chattered as more students slowly crept their way into the Great Hall and put their names into the goblet.
The group lazed the day away in the Great Hall. They had brought their books and quills as they studied for their owls and watched students enter their name.
Lunch rolled past quickly. Merla had excused herself for about an hour as she went up to the Prefect bathrooms to freshen up. If she was going to be picked she wanted to look her best.
Well... as best she could. She still had to wear her uniform.
Excitement bounced around Merla's chest as she walked back to the Great Hall. Butterflies filled her stomach as she though of all the glory she would receive if she won.
