"About time." Enid huffed annoyingly from her lounging spot in the Slytherin common room as Merla entered with Kara and Cedric. Zaid was leaning against the back of the chair Lori was slumped against.
Kara had a blanket wrapped around her shoulders. "Sorry- had a problem with the first years." She pulled Enid up from her spot, holding her hands in her own for a beat too long. Merla squinted her eyes at them.
"Can I finally go to sleep?" Lori groaned as Zaid pulled her up, she yanked her hands free and wrapped them around herself.
"Not yet." Cedric motioned for Zaid to lead the way. "We need to discuss somethings." Him and Merla shared a glance.
Merla pulled Cedric away once they entered Zaid's dorm. "What exactly are we talking about?" Her eyes cast onto Duri's bed. Which was still made from the TriWizard tournament. Shouldn't someone had cleaned that up?
"They deserve to know..." Cedric whispered, but still loud enough from the rest of the group to hear.
"Know what?" Enid crossed her arms, glancing at the two up in down in a questioning glare.
"Nothing!" Merla faked a smile. "Every-"
Cedric pinched her. "Merla."
"Ow?" Her fiery eyes glared up at Cedric. It's quite frankly not his secret to share. And it was making Merla nervous. She didn't want to tell them anything... not yet at least.
"I'm telling them." He crossed his arms, looking like a sassier copy of Enid. "Try to stop me." He held up his finger which Merla grabbed and twisted. "Ow ow ow!"
There was a thump in the connected bathroom. Everyone turned to look at Zaid. "Do you have a cat or something?" Kara asked, gripping onto the hem of Enid's shirt.
Zaid shook his head and pulled out his wand. He pointed it at the bathroom door and pulled it open. There was a shriek of surprise from the other side. Everyone froze.
"Do you not knock?!" An all too familiar voice shouted out.
Merla pushed Zaid out of the way. She looked in disbelief. "What are you doing here?!"
"What the fuck?!" Zaid cursed out in surprise.
"You're alive?" Lori pushed past Merla in one swift step and entangled the boy in her now signature bone crushing hugs.
The boy laughed. "Oh yeah- surprise!"
"Duri- what the fuck?!" Kara wiped away her tears and pulled both him and Lori into a hug.
Merla shared a glance with Cedric. "Did you plan this?" Merla accused. "Why didn't you tell me he was coming back to Hogwarts?"
Cedric looked baffled. "Uh- probably because I thought he was back in fucking Korea like they said he was?"
