Chapter 10 : sea

Riki POV

" Since your accident, we've had the right to take a break."

"I know I'm sorry. I think I was really exausted, but now I'm better. "

"Don't apologize, it gives us a rest too. Do you want to come to the beach with us?"

"No, sorry, I've got somewhere to go today."

"With Ella?" Jungwon asked.

The whole group turned and stared at me in incomprehension. Apart from Jungwon, no one really knew about Ella's existence.

"Yes, with her. " I said.

"But you already saw her yesterday. "

"I saw all of you every day, but I haven't seen her for a long time. Just let me see her today, please hyung."

"It's okay. Go on. "

"Thank you so much" I hugged him and then ran out to the car to pick her up .

When I arrived at the house, she wasn't there. She was gone. I tried to call her but she didn't answer. Maybe she was at her house.
I arrived in front of her house and finally she was there. It was reassuring.

"Ella? Why didn't you listen to me? I told you to stay at my house, nobody will bother you."

"But if people cause you problems by coming to your house? I don't want that Riki. "

"Don't worry about that. I don't care, stay at home please. Bring some clothes and stay there. I'd be less worried about you. "

"Okay Riki."

"So now, let's go to the beach together. I'm so excited!"

"Yes , let's go Riki. "

Ella POV

We are going for the car together. And started a long conversation like usual. It was very comfortable to talk with him. Nobody in this world could make me feel so happy and comfortable except him.
I enjoyed seeing him, talking to him, laughing with him, teasing him and even when he teased me .

"We have arrived."

I ran towards the beach without waiting for Riki.

"Wait for me Ella!"

"No , I'm faster than you. "

He started chasing me, then grabbed me from behind  and carried me up into the sky. We laughed so much together. It seemed to be a scene of a romance kdrama, but better.
We started playing in the water, swimming, racing and throwing water at each other. We had a water fight before trying to drown each other in the water. It looked violent but in fact it was great fun. Like 2 kids.
We stopped for a moment, we felt like we had been playing for hours because we were so tired. It was so difficult to run on the sand.

"Do you want to have a sandcastle competition? "he asked

"I will won. "

We started to create our own sandcastle when 3 little kids come towards us.

"Wow, your sandcastles are amazing, can we play with you?" One said.

"Of course, come here , help me. "

They played with us, and we laughed a lot with them. There were so cute, smiling. They seemed to be sibling.

"Are you two in love ?" the girl asked to Riki.

He looked at me, while smiling.

"Oh no, we are only friend. "

"Oh it's so sad, I thought you were lovers, like a princess and her prince in fairy tales." She said.

"They're going to fall in love with each other, I'm sure of it." the boy answered.

We looked at each other and smiled by embarassment. It was funny but awkward.

Riki POV

I went to the sea to get some water for the sandcastle when the little girl came towards me.

"Do you really not love her?" She asked.

"Why do you ask me that? "

"I want you to become her prince. Would you do that?"

"I don't know if she'd want to be my princess."

"But you? Do you want to be her prince?"

I didn't answer. Not because I was afraid to answer, but because I had just realized that I didn't really understand my own feelings. I didn't know what to say. I never thought about what I might feel other than friendship. Was it love? Was it friendship?

As if it was just you and me in this huge world.

"Good bye kids. See you soon!"

"Bye the two lovers. " they said while laughing.

I looked at Ella who was smiling at the kids, waving her hand to them.
They made me thinking about what I felt for her, for the first time. It made me so confused.

"It was almost 6 pm. Days spending with you were so fast. " I said.

"Because it's fun, so you never see the time go by. "

"It's a good thing. "

Ella sat on the sand looking at the sunset. I sat next to her.

"Riki?"

"Yes little girl?"

"Have you ever felt attracted to someone and not known what that feelings means?"

"I think so. I think I've ever felt it before. It's very disturbing."

"Do you think you'll ever get a response ? To know how you feel about that person?"

"I hope so. "

We continued looking at the sunset, white birds flying around us. The water gleaming with the millions lights of the sun disappearing. The air was warm. No wind, just the warmth of the sun on us.

"Mmh?"

"From next week, I'm coming back to school."
