The Truth

The minute Spider said that, I ran over to where the commotion was happening.

I went to where Adair was sleeping. Instead on lying on the table, eyes closed, their were practically tackling Norm, with the Na'vi siblings pulling him back.

"Where is she?" Adair yelled. "Where's Willow?"

I opened the door to the room. "I'm here, dumbass." I said. "No need to attack these people."

"Willow!" Just like that, Adair got off of Norm, and ran over to me, giving me a tight hug.

"Ahem." Norm coughed, trying to get our attention.

"Yeah?" I asked, peeling Adair from me.

"We need to hold another interrogation for your friend." he said.

Adair's face turned red with anger. "No." they said firmly.

"Go, Adair." I said. Whispering into their ear, I said "It might be the only way to be freed."

Adair looked at me, then nodded.

Next thing I knew, Norm gave my handcuffs to Adair and dragged him to the small room. As for me, I stayed in the room where the Na'vi siblings and Spider stood.

"Nice friend you have." the male Na'vi commented.

I rolled my eyes at him. "I'm Lo'ak." he said. He pointed to the other Na'vi. "That's Kiri, my sister."

<Why are you telling her?> Kiri asked in Na'vi, probably thinking that I wouldn't understand.

<She was just a kid when the RDA got to her.> Lo'ak explained. <We can make her see the truth.>

<Easier said than done.> Spider said, pinching in.

"Stop acting like I don't understand you guys." I said. "I know what you're saying."

Mostly.

They stopped, then nodded. "Okay." Lo'ak said. "We'll tell you the truth."

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

They told me about Jake Sully (their father!), how he came to Pandora, his battle with the RDA, and how the RDA returned once again.

They told me everything and the crazy thing is that I believed them. Sure, they could be tricking me, but from what I learned about the Na'vi, they're a pretty simple species. They should be telling the truth.

Unless everything I learned is false and they're lying to me.

But, my instincts say otherwise, so I believed them.

"Woah." I said once they were done. "That's a...lot of information."

"Yeah." Kiri muttered.

"Wait." I just realized something. "How did you find us?"

Lo'ak flinched. "We were...exploring. Then, we came across you guys getting pelted with arrows and we sort of-"

"Knocked us out?" I asked.

"Yeah." Lo'ak mumbled.

"We weren't exploring." Spider said.

"Yeah. This skxawng made us go to a off-limits area." Kiri said, slapping Lo'ak's head.

"Ow!"

Just then, Norm walked in with Adair in handcuffs. "Stay here." he said. "You too." he said pointing at me.

Everyone except Adair left the room, Norm locking the door. We just stood there for a few minutes. "Wow." Adair said. "Not how I thought my first mission would turn out."

I scoffed. "Tell me about it."

A moment of silence. I don't know why, but this was way too awkward, me being alone with Adair.

"What did he ask?" I asked, breaking the silence.

"Who do you work for, why are you doing this, blah, blah." Adair said. "Can you get these handcuffs off me?"

With great difficulty, I managed to pull their wrists out of the handcuffs. "Ow, ow, ow." he mumbled, rubbing their wrists.

"Don't be a wuss." I said, tossing the handcuffs aside.

Suddenly, a loud explosion occured outside the room. I ran over to the door just as it opened and Lo'ak appeared. "Come on!" he yelled.

"Why?" I asked. "What's happening?"

"The RDA is burning the forest." Lo'ak said. "They're only going to stop if we give you two up."

"Are you going to give us up?" I asked.

"Why not?" Lo'ak asked. "You're not much to us anyway."

"That's nice." Adair scoffed.
