I groaned and tried to rub my eyes, but couldn't. My hands were...tied?

I opened my eyes and found out that I was tied in a chair in a dark room. "Wha-?" Suddenly, a door opened and there stood...Cass.

"Cass?" I shook my body, trying to get free. "What are you doing?"

"Working with the RDA." Cass said. "Like you're supposed to do." She was holding a sharp knife, playing with it.

"What?"

"Did you honestly think I truly loved you?" she asked, laughing. "It's all apart of the female trainees' course, which you missed."

"What do you mean?" I stopped struggling, wanting to hear her clearly.

"How I acted around you, what I wore, my stupid backstory." Cass smiled cruelly. "I honestly thought that it wouldn't work since these are methods for men, not little gay girls."

"I'm pansexual!" I yelled. "If you want to insult me, at least get it right!" But, I understood. I was just a game to her. A practice course for her seducing skills.

And she excelled it.

"Whatever." She rolled her eyes, then came closer. "They also taught us how to kill someone, if we have to. Now that your going to run away from the RDA, the people who gave us these skills, I have no choice but to kill you."

I laughed nervously, working on my hands, trying to pull them free. "Kill me? Can't you just, you know, report me?"

"If I report you, then they'll kill you." She held the knife in the air, examining it. "I rather to that myself."

"Why?"

"To practice my other set of skills. Also, you have bored me immensely." She stepped forward and placed the tip of the knife on my cheek, drawing a little heart. Blood immediately poured down my cheek.

"That's my symbol." she said. "So that people know I killed a person, namely you."

Just as she was about to stab my head, I pulled my hand free and punched her face. She screamed, falling back. I quickly freed my other hand and began to work on my legs. "Oh no you don't" Cass mumbled, getting back up.

She charged at me. Just in time, my legs were free and I kicked her in the stomach. She fell back, dropping the knife.

I quickly picked it up and pinned Cass to the floor. I was ready to stab her when...I stopped.

While Cass betrayed me, I stilled love her. I couldn't kill her. Cass smiled as I slowly set the knife on the ground. "I thought so-" I quickly punched her, knocking her unconscious.

Suddenly, I heard a loud noise. "Willow!" it yelled and someone kicked the door open.

I looked up to see Adair standing before me. "What are you doing here?" I asked.

"You didn't come on time." they said. "I thought Cass did something to you. I had a bad feeling about her since the beginning."

"Sure you did."

"Of course, I should have known that you would stop her." They smiled.

"Duh!" I yelled. "Now, come here and help me tie her up."

Once we tied her to the chair, and duct taped her mouth, we quietly locked the door. "Let's get out of here." I whispered.

"We have to meet Chad first." Adair said.

As we made to the outside of the observatory room, where Chad was waiting with some other girl. She had short brown hair and was wearing blue pants and a white shirt.

"Who is she?" I asked.

"She's Vivi." Adair said. "She's Chad's 'friend'."

Chad glared at Adair. Suddenly Vivi doubled down, coughing furiously. "Woah!" I exclaimed, patting her back. "Are you okay?"

"I'm fine." Vivi croaked. "Just a bit sick. I'll be fine." She suddenly stood up straight. "Don't leave me, please!" She seized my hands.

"Ow!" I yelled as she dug her fingernails into my skin.

"Please don't." she begged. "I hate the missions, the training, everything! These are cruel people, Willow."

"I know!"

Chad stepped forward and hugged Vivi. "We won't leave you here, Vivi." he said. "Right guys?"

Adair nodded, then looked at me. I rubbed my tender skin and said "Of course not. Just lay off the grabbing, okay?"

Vivi nodded. "Alright." I took a deep breath. "Let's sneak out of here."

And just then, a body flung itself to the window right behind them.
