As we arrived back at the RDA headquarters, I was still caught in the past, wondering which side I'm truly on.
The wrong one, to help humans who are poisoning their own world, along with Pandora, or one the right side, helping the Na'vi but abandoning humanity.
By the time we landed, I knew which side I was on.
Is Adair on the same side? I wouldn't know, since he had only spent little time with the others and doesn't know what I know.
Talk to Cass. Maybe she'll understand.
I found her in the girls' room, all by herself, reading a book. She wore a pair of blue shorts and a light purple tank top.
"Hey." she said, spotting me. She put away her book and pulled me next to her.
"Hey yourself." I said, kissing her hair. "I have a questions for you: Do you ever wonder if you're on the wrong side?"
"No." she said. "Of course not. Why?"
"I was captured today-"
"What?" she interrupted. "They didn't tell me. Are you okay?"
"I'm fine." I said. "Anyway, they told me some things and..."
"Whatever they say, they're lying." Cass said. "We're enemies so of course they'll spread misinformation. Now, come here."
She pulled me close and kissed me and the next thing I knew I was kissing back.
Although, while everything was happening, I couldn't shake the feeling that she was trying to distract me from thinking any further.

It's nighttime. Everyone is asleep, but I'm wide awake.
I turned over to Adair. "Adair." I whispered. "Adair." I jabbed their foot and they turned over with a grunt.
"What?" they asked.
"Who's side are you on?" I asked.
"What?" they asked again.
"Who's right? The RDA or the Na'vi?"
"Um, the RDA." they said. "They practically raised us."
"But, what if we're on the wrong side?" I asked. "What if this is all just an act?" I expected resistance, questioning, maybe even threats to alert General Ardmore.
Instead, they just ran their hand through their hair and said "I've been thinking the same thing, actually. I mean, I've seen the RDA leave everyone behind, and yet, they came for us? Isn't that weird?"
"Probably because we have the new device." I said. "Besides, isn't it just war casualties?"
"Still, it feels weird." Adair said.
Well, now that we both are in agreement, I'm not going to stay here anymore. If we're wrong, worst case scenario, we'll be hostages. They can't do anything bad to hostages, right?
"I have an idea." I said.

We would leave at 5pm. I would get Cass and Adair would get Chad, much to my disproval. But, he had been nicer to me ever since we landed on Pandora.
We wanted to get everyone, but we realized that no one else is really there. Many were killed on their missions and others were so sick that they were basically dying.
And the RDA doesn't care. Can't believe I missed that.
I found Cass in the rec room, reading a book in the corner. Even though the room was empty, I still whispered. "Cass." I hissed. "Cass!"
She looked up from her book. "Why are you whispering, silly?" she asked.
"So they don't hear us." I responded, looking out the doorway to see if anyone was coming.
"They?" she asked.
"Keep your voice down."
"What are you doing?" she whispered. "Who's they?"
"The RDA." I looked back at her. "I don't have much time, so I'll summarize for you."
I told her about the truth about the Na'vi, Pandora, and the RDA, along with the plan me and Adair came up with. "Wow." she said quietly.
"I know." I peeked out of the room. "The coast is clear, come on."
"No."
I looked back at her. "What?" I asked.
"No." Her face started to change from the sweet girl I knew to the smile of a devil. "I'm not going. And neither are you."
Before I could react, she sprung from her seat with her book and hit my stomach. "Urk!" On instinct, I began to punch her ribs, but softly, to shock her.
She didn't even react. She raised her book and hit me square on the head.
And then, darkness surrounded me.
