Part 24: Your alive?!

She's supposed to be dead! But she's alive! I run to her and wrap my arms around her. She hugs me back tightly.
I pull away, "Mom...I thought you were dead!" I exclaim.
Her smile fades, "Beatrice," She says, using my full name, "I'm hiding from Erudite. Your father and brother were taken last week. They are both dead. They won't be coming for you, they got all the information they needed from Caleb and your father. They are looking for me. I just wanted you to know that I love you. I really do. I need you to stay safe and not get into trouble. Okay, I love you. Bye, Beatrice." I scan her face and wrap my arms around her, pulling on her shoulders tightly.
"I love you, Mom. I really do. Bye." I say as she pulls away. She nods and turns, running in her gray Abnegation dress. A tear floats down my cheek. I wipe it off and turn back to the Chasm and think.

I hear my nickname over the splashes, "That's my Instructor." Alex says.
A strong male voice says, "She's...pretty." I turn around and see Alex with two tall adults dressed in Candor black and white. I resist the urge to slap him. I smile in their direction and they walk towards me.
Alex puts his hand on my shoulder, "This is Six. She's my Instructor." He says, a smirk plastered on his lips. His mom smiles and extends her hand, I shake it.
"Is that a nickname?" His father asks. I nod, but don't elaborate. 
"So, how's my boy doing in rankings?" Asks his dad, tousling Alex's hair. Alex looks at me.
"He's doing fine. He's not the best, but he's very close." I lie. I bite the inside of my cheek. The fight where Jess beat him brought him down a lot. His mom must notice it. Note to self, 'Don't lie to Candor.'

She studies my face. I smile assuringly. She nods.
"I have to go." I say. They all smile at me and nod. I turn away from Alex and walk down an empty hallway. I reach the end of the hall and sit in the corner. I need to think. Eventually I must have fallen asleep, because I'm awakened by the soothing rocking that can only mean I was being carried. I open my eyes and see who's carrying me. Tobias.
