He smoothly glides down onto the ground next to me. His hand wraps around the back of my head, bringing me closer to him. My hands are around his neck, the pain already forgotten.
His lips leave trails of light electricity where they touch my skin. Suddenly, I remember where I am, vaguely aware of someone watching us. I pull away and the hurt in his eyes is momentary. I give him a steady gaze and look away.
No one's here. I shrug and stand up. Jaden leans in close to me.
"Jaden, I can't be with you." I say. Pain is plainly visible in his eyes. He makes no attempt to hide it.
"I don't want you to get hurt. After Initiation is over, then..." I stop and breathe, "And only then can we be together, okay?" He nods slowly and avoids my eyes.
I grab his arm as he turns away, "There's only 9 days of training left. Then, the ceremony. It's so close. You can do it. You will make it. You've always had a spot here....in Dauntless." I tell him, my voice steady.
He smiles, his goofy smile brightening his face, "You got it." He turns and walks away. I smile at his back, his posture perfect.I have to talk to Alex, no matter how bad I don't want to. I walk to the dorms, slipping down empty hallways. I open the dorm door and I see Alex. I sigh and walk in. He smiles and waves me over, the dorm's empty. I sit on the bed across from his, Cleo's I believe.
I sigh again, "Alex, I know what you did while I was gone." I say bitterly, grimacing.
He coughs, "What?" I roll my eyes. He can't lie. Once a Candor, always a Candor.
"You, you cheated on me with Cleo. You slept with her the night I left." I exhale.
His shoulders bend downward, "I...I'm sorry, Tris." Is that all he has to say? I'm sorry? Anger pours through my voice like liquid metal, as I yell at him.
"All you have to say is sorry!? Sorry isn't good enough, Alex! Sorry is for when you accidentally bump someone with your elbow or knock something out of their hands, not when you cheat on someone!" He looks up at me, his clear Augustinian eyes shining. "Also," I say, my voice eerily calm, "Don't call me Tris. To you, I am Six." I stand and leave. A bitter taste fills my mouth as I run into someone tall and muscular with tan skin. Uriah.A.N.
Tris is kinda' slutty in this...Oops.
Whatever!(;[Augustinian means bright blue, like Augustus Waters' eyes]
