~• Loaine Lorain •~She was flying, her arms outstretched, but he was holding her tightly. His grip tightened and she turned to look at him, his previous smile a frown. She watched in horror as Sylistico's face turned dark, a black mask covering his once light features. Loaine squirmed and writhed around, helplessly trying to escape the death grip the man had on her. As if seeing her struggle, the man released her, her body falling through the air. A sickening feeling captured her stomach and Loaine felt a scream leave her lips.
Sitting up in bed, Loaine gasped, a heavy sweat coating her body. Sunlight came into the room from the window, the once dark room looking more inviting under the sun's rays. Loaine looked around hurridly and remembered she was alone, before looking at the window. A blue handprint sat on the window as her sole reminder and Loaine shivered, hugging her knees to her, the covers bunching up around her waist. She let her head drop to a resting position on her knees as she took deep breaths, hoping to calm her eratic heartbeat.
Loaine sighed, untangling her body and got out of the bed, her legs still shaky. She walked up to the door and was surprised when she was able to open it. Peeking her head out from the open door, Loaine looked around the hallway before stepping out, the morning breeze brushing by her bare legs. She took a deep sigh, the air in her lungs calming her. Just as Loaine was going to walk down the stairs, a figure made its way up, shocking her.
"Good morning Loaine, you look nice in my shirt." An amused smile was on Clance's lips, a cup of coffee in hand. He stretched it out to her and Loaine eyed it warily. "Its coffee, I was going to bring it to my room for when you awoke but you beat me to it." He was talking calmly, his tone lighter to try to lighten the tension in the air. Loaine couldn't even come up with a smart comeback, her body frozen, mind on overdrive. She was wearing his shirt, sleeping in his bed, in his room, under his old home. This can't get any crazier can it, she thought bitterly.
"T-Thank you, but I-I should go change." She motioned behind her to his room and turned to go but his hand caught her wrist mid-turn. His eyes watched her in concern behind his glasses but Loaine couldn't look at him.
"Loaine, are you alright?" She nodded quickly and pulled her wrist away sharply before turning around and walking into his room, slamming the door behind her. She leaned her back against the closed door, heart beating wildly, and sank to the floor. She knew her hair was a mess and a good half of it was probably falling out of her ponytail after the restless sleep she had. She sighed and stood up, grabbing her clothes off of the chair by the desk and walked into the bathroom that was now open.
Loaine guessed Lilian or Sylistico came to unlock everything. She couldn't imagine Clance walking in on her sleeping, she just couldn't. Loaine looked at herself in the mirror and visibly cringed at her appearance. Her hair was a giant mess as she had suspected, her big blue eyes outlined in smudged black, the giant bags under her eyes evident from her lack of sleep. She washed up quickly and changed, happy to be back to her snarky self. She walked out of the bathroom and noticed the cup of coffee on the bedside table. She sighed, picking it up, and walked out of the bedroom, closing the door behind her.
"...I don't think...but its worth...shh, she's coming." Loaine stepped into the kitchen, a bright smile on her face as she pretended to have not heard what was said before. Lilian smiled back at her as she set a plate of food in front of Clance who's face was blank. He was staring at her, his darker blue eyes watching her bright ones. She gave him a sickly sweet smile and plopped down in the seat next to him.
"Good morning Lilian, Clance, how did you sleep?" Lilian walks into the kitchen, returning with another plate for Loaine. She sets it down and cleans her hands on her dirty white apron, giving the cloth an old look.
