He heard a cry in pain, the sound coming from outside. Sylistico stood from where he was sitting and ran, ran right out of the room not caring if people were staring. He knew that cry and it wasn't just any other citizen, it was Loaine. He flew down the stairs, his disguise falling behind him as he pushed himself to go faster. The bright light of the sun hit him as he ran outside, a noise making him look to the sky. It was that man again, in his arms a limp Loaine. He felt his blood boil in anger and went to fly after him but stopped, knowing if he tried to stop him, Loaine would get hurt.

Sylistico cursed under his breath and watched as the man flew off, his dark suit standing out in the sunlight. Sylistico flew behind him, trying his best to stay hidden. As the man neared a small building, Sylistico stayed behind a pile of boxes and other items to hide, the man flying into the run down building. The giant metal doors clunked together, the doors closing behind the man, and Sylistico flew across the way to the building. It was an old warehouse building, the metal rusting and the wood chipped, and Sylistico could see some of the windows boarded up, the once tinted glass windows broken.

Through one of the boards, Sylistico could see Loaine tied to a chair. She was limp still, her hair in her face, and her head was forward, her neck in an awkward position. Please wake up, he thought urgently. And as if hearing his plea, Loaine shifted, her head rising slightly up, and her eyes fluttered open. She looked around, her brows scrunched up in confusion before her memory triggered. She struggled aginst the bonds holding her to the chair and tried desperatly to get free. A shadow came out and floated over to her, its head cocked to the side, as Loaine tensed up. She struggled a moment more before a cry left her lips, her head swinging forward again.Sylistico was about to run in when the man spoke.

"Loaine Lorain." She snapped her head up, eyes wide in fear. "That is you, yes?" She stared, her body tense and stiff through shock and fear, her stubbornness showing up. Another cry left her as her hands tightened their hold on the armrests, her face contorted in pain. She nodded quickly, the pain taking her words away, and averted her gaze from the man. "You are very important, Ms. Lorain, you are very important in deed." His voice was a sick velvety sound, as if he was trying to allure her. She shook her head, a groan of pain leaving her, and the man walked up to her. "Look at me." It was harsh, the voice cold, and Loraine snapped her eyes up to look at him.

"Please, stop this, please." Her voice was weak and cracked at the end due to her screaming. He shook his head and reached out, gripping her chin in his hand. She winced and Sylistico clenched his hands into fists, his anger rising.

"I'm sorry, Ms. Lorain, but I can't do that. You see, you are an important person in all of this mess. You, my dear, will carry the alien's child." The world froze at his words, ice running through Sylistico's bloodstream. Loaine ripped her head out of his hands and glared at him, her fear hidden slightly under her frown.

"What the hell are you talking about?!" He stepped back and turned his back to her, the black mask covering whatever expression he wore underneath. His feet floated above the ground, his body relaxed. He stood there, looking at something, before he turned back to Loaine.

"I have the gift to see the future, Ms. Lorain, and you will carry the alien's child, the child that will destroy not only me but my entire race. I cannot allow that to happen. So, instead of waiting to kill the child, I have decided to kill you instead, that way the child will never exist." Loaine shook her head, eyes wide, and started struggling again. "I'm sorry, I truly am, but I can save a world of beings by killing one. Please forgive me." He advanced and Loaine stared at him, her struggling growing tiresome as she sat there.
