Hello, my name is Alexis Reed. I’m sixteen years of age, and a junior in high school. I’m just another normal high school girl. Except there’s one thing that sets me out of all the other girls at the school I attend. My best friend, Jason, is the school’s well-known player. We’ve known each for almost ten years and despite his player persona, he is literally the best person in the world. Did I mention that I have a crush on him? Yes, I know how cliché that sounds, but my love life is the nowhere near the whole lovey dovey girl changes the player concept. Trust me on that.

“Don’t you think it’s kind of pathetic that I’ve had a major crush on Jason since kindergarten? Then, even more pathetic that I haven’t even told him?” I asked Rosie, who was one of my best friends.
“Yeah, totally,” she responded, nonchalantly.
“I mean, I’ve known him for so long. And… it’s just that I don’t want to ruin our friendship. Do you get what I mean?” I rambled on.
“Yeah, I understand,” she stated, in a bored tone.
“What do you think I should do?” I asked her, in dire need of some help. I looked over to her from my bed to find her zoned out.
“Yeah, I know right?” she replied. I rolled my eyes at her actions and joked, “Hey, Rosie. I should totally rob a bank right now. You want to join?
“Yeah, sure… Wait, what?!” she screamed, finally coming back into reality.
“You didn’t hear a single word I just said, did you?” I asked, raising an eyebrow at her.
“I’m sorry, Alex,” she apologized, “What did you say?” Rosie and I both knew that she had the tendency to zone out occasionally, especially when she was thinking hard about a particular topic, so naturally, I allowed it to slide.
“Never mind. Anyways, what do you think I should wear to Ethan’s party tonight?” I asked.
She thought about it for a second, before her lips curved up into a smirk, “Wear something hot… for Jason.”
I glared at her from where I was. “You want to know something, Rosie?”
“Knowing you, it’d be something rude, so, um… I’m going to have to say no,” she answered back.
“Whatever. Did you know that Kolby’s going to be at the party tonight?” I laughed as I watched her glare at me and throw a pillow at me. Kobly has been Rosie's official crush for a year and a half now, and something tells me he likes her to.
She whistled, innocently. “You alright, Alex? You almost fell there. I wonder where that pillow came from?” I shook my head slightly and smiled. That was Rosie for you.
