Stronger Together (Barry x Alexa) (Fan Fiction)

Chapter 3: P.O.W.

Barry was in the Apartment watching the news.

He hears on the news "The city is in chaos, and hospitals are overwhelmed. CCPD advises you stay indoors as the violent speedster war escalates."

Barry got his Flash ring out turned off the TV walked to the stairs put on his ring and yelled up the stairs "Alexa! I need to get back out there."

Then a voice yells "Dad!"

He turned and saw Nora and she said, "Something's wrong. Our family, the future."

Barry then couldn't talk and he grabbed his throat.

Nora says "It's all changed. Flash has to do something before too late." then she disappears in front of him.

Barry yells "Nora!"

Then a bright white light blinded him, then his eyes opened and he shot up and saw he was on the couch.

Barry was panting and asked, "What's happening?"

Later

Barry then ran into STAR Labs' Cortex and said with a hint of being injured "Argh, the Godspeeds are gone again."

Caitlin says "You're hurt, what happened?"

Caitlin helps Barry to the rail of the desk and he says "They ambushed me. While I was evacuating City Hall. I barely made it out in one piece."

Caitlin says "Okay, let's get you to the Med Lab. Chester, can you call Alexa?"

Chester says "Yeah, yeah, sure."

Barry says "No, no, she's still home feeling sick. Let her rest. Frost is out there helping. Chester, how long was it before they showed up this time?" 

Chester says "About Eight hours, but their movements are unpredictable, and we still have no idea where they're going once they disappear."

Barry asks "Can we figure out when they're gonna come back next?"

Chester says "I could start working on a predictive algorithm."

They nod to him and he says "Right, okay, if there's a pattern to their freaky dekey moves... I'll find it. Even if we figure out when they're going to attack next, we still have no idea what they want."

Barry turned to Chester and he asked, "Don't they want your speed?"

Caitlin says "The original six do and just as they were going to get it."

Chester interrupts "The other six showed up and saved you."

Barry winces in pain and says "Right, but why?"

Barry says "Why? I mean, how do we stop a civil war? If we don't even understand why both sides are fighting."

Cecile comes walking in.

Cecile asks "Hey. Has anybody heard from Joe? He left town with Kramer hours ago. I haven't been able to get a hold of him."

Then everyone started to reason with Cecile why she couldn't get ahold of Joe.

Hours later

Barry tried to pull himself up out of bed, then Caitlin walked over and said, "Easy, Barry. You still have six broken ribs. Not to mention internal bleeding."

Barry starts to put on a jacket and zip it up and says "Another hours of speed healing, I'll be fine. The Godspeeds will be back soon. I need to be ready."

Caitlin says "Look, I've patched you up enough times to know this isn't about some broken bones."

Barry sighs and says "I had a dream about Nora."
