We grabbed our drinks and sat at a four-seater table inside the coffee shop. Kung saan patuloy ang talkshow ni Pierce kay Lance. Penelope is silent beside him.

"Wow. Sabe na familiar ang apilido mo. Anak ka pala ni konsehal Leonardo. May balak ka din ba mag city councilor?" Ani Pierce.

"Are you going home after that?" Anton texted.

"Mmm. Not really. I'm planning to manage our business instead. My vision is to expand it globally with big companies." I heard Lance answered.

"Yes." I typed in my reply before sipping on my caramel macchiato.

"Naks. Bongga. Anong business nyo pala?" Si Pierce.

"Can I come visit you tonight?" I feel my cheeks boiled in heat as I read Anton's reply.

"We are exporting furnitures and woodwork supplies domestically."

"Ay taray! Kagaya ni ano... ahm.." diko masundang tugon ni Pierce dahil nakailang bura ako ng isasagot kay Anton.

"Dad doesn't allow visitors in the penthouse. I can come down I guess." Nakanguso kong pagtitipa. It's okay with me, but the problem is manang Lupe. I can imagine her reaction when she sees a man set foot in my unit.

"Hey." I twitched to hide my phone when Lance almost leaned on me. I saw his forehead creased with my reaction.

"Hanap kana sainyo?" Tumaas ang kilay nito at saglit na tinignan ang hawak kong cellphone. Tinalikod ko ang cellphone sa mesa at hinawakan ang inumin.

Umiling ako. "Nagpaalam naman ako kanina." I gave him a short smile.

"I see. It's just that your eyes are glued to your phone." He shrugged his shoulders before turning back to Pierce to reengage in the conversation.

My eyes squinted with what he said pero binalewala ko lang lalo na at sinama niya ako sa usapan.

"You know, with your company's recent deal for a high-rise building project in Davao, what about I'll send you a proposal for your father to review? You know, some trendy perspective that he might consider." He wiggled his brows as he shifted his weight to me. I caught Pierce's scandalous stare because of that.

How does he even know this? I'm not sure if this information is already in public yet. But oh well, yung nakuha nga nina Anton na client sa CDO eh nagpunta ng Manila for the launch.

Maybe I'm just not really interested in our business kaya wala akong ideya sa mga nangyayari. Dad is also not pressuring my involvement so he never shared anything with me unless it requires him to leave out of town or the country.

"Taray. Parang business partners? Ay gusto ko iyan!" Mapanguyam na hirit ni Pierce.

"Uhh.." I'm trying to get words out of my mouth.

Lance chuckled. "No pressure. I know you have different partners and established trusted suppliers that you recommend to your clients, even your cousin is doing great with closing deals for your sister company. Its just that maybe your father might want to look into something new."

Wala akong nagawa kundi ang pilitin ang ngiti. I don't even know how this works so I cannot give any comment yet. I guess it won't hurt to ask dad. Though, I'm sure that matter in the business is already covered by tito Amer.

"I'll see about that." Tanging nasagot ko. Mas lumapad naman ang ngiti ni Lance.

Nang maubos ang inumin ay nagpaalam na kami sa isa't isa. Lance had to go first dahil kakausapin daw siya ng papa niya at maglalakad pa siya pabalik ng SVU para sa sasakyan niya.
