Chapter Sixteen

She then looked down to her sister and she sighed. "We can attempt to work things out."

Alice looked up to her and wiped her eyes under her glasses. "k-Kay...T-Thank you sissy."

She then walked with Alice and Arthur to the others. She could feel the tension between her and her three elder siblings. "Before you all start going off about accusation and stuff let me tell you some truths. I'm not dad's favorite, Alice is. I've always felt like the black sheep of the family due to the fact that even though I do a lot of things you all get credited for it. And if you all wanted me dead then you should have tried a bit harder to do so."Serena said seriously

They all looked to her shocked. "Really...We all thought that you were dad's favorite. Not Alice." Lucas said shocked

"Yeah, he told me straight up that Alice's his favorite. Which disappointed him that she took mothers side and not his." Serena said with her arms crossed

"What was I supposed to do?! Mommy was giving me the glare!" Alice said sadly

"Oh I know...So let me ask you all this. How do you all want to make things work here. Because apparently getting our parents back together isn't gunna happen." Serena said with a sigh

"Lets just start by apologies and go from there." Emily suggested

"Tch, I'll never forgive any of you for the pain you've caused me in the past. I don't care what your motives were, you shouldn't have to hurt your own blood because of jealously or any other bad emotion." Serena said seriously

"Well...Then this is going to be more difficult than it looks." Lucas said rubbing the back of his head

"Tch, ya' think just a bit?" Serena said narrowing her eyes at her siblings "Lets just get one thing straight, the only reason I'm doing this is because Arthur is here because he's supposed to bring our family together again. I don't know how the hell he's gunna do that but he's supposed to be able to do so. I honestly believe this is a lost cause but he's still trying just to prove me wrong."

Emily and Maria rubbed between there eyes. "That'll explain why he cares so much about you. He sympathized for you, I bet you he's not even going to want to stay here afterwards...But its your life Serena, So how about this. We all agree to disagree and find a way to get dad and mother together again. Mom's home right now and if we all talk to her about it I think she'll actually consider it."Maria said with her arms crossed

"You elder ones are a hell of a lot closer to mother than I am. So I think you three should do it. I'll take Alice and the younger ones to dad's place and we'll try to convince him to be back with mother. Hopefully it'll work." Serena said sadly

"Serena have faith within yourself. You're an intelligent woman and I know you can do it." Arthur said as he placed a hand on her shoulder

"Arthur, I need you to go with my elder siblings and be truthful to my mother about why you're here. She needs to know...okay?" Serena said as she looked to him.

"Alright, if you believe it'll work."

Lucas, the twins and Arthur left for the house their mother was in as Serena showed the younger ones where their father lived. Thankfully he was home and watching TV when Sarina came in with the three younger ones. Their father sat up when he saw the younger three with her.

"Alice, Renne, Anya its nice to see you three...Serena...May I ask why they're with you aren't with Arthur?" Mark asked

"I can answer that for Rena. Arthur is actually from a different time line and he's supposed to get the family together which means that we have to all get along and live under the same roof. So Arthur went with the elder siblings to convince mother not to be a whore anymore as we're supposed to convince you to come home and be with momma again." Alice said sadly

"Is that true Serena?" Mark asked shocked

She looked down sadly. "After this is done for, Arthur will go back to his time."

"Serena, I know you care a lot about him but if he's not even from here then you need to realize it and move on." Mark said as he got up.

"I know this...and its why he's with the twins and Lucas...So my question to you father is simple...Will you work with us to convince mom to stop messing with men or are you against it?"

Mark agreed to talk things out with their mother and drove them to the house. They went inside and saw that the elder siblings were still having trouble with their mother. When their mother saw their father, her eyes narrowed.

"WHY THE HELL ARE YOU HERE?!" She yelled angered

"Because I want to try to make us work. Ever since I had signed that divorce paper I have had a lot of regrets, one of them being losing you as my wife. I know that you've been needy but you don't need to go to other men just to get what you want further more use our own son for your selfish needs either. The kids shouldn't have to be split between the two of us, we should raise the kids together." Mark said seriously as he walked towards their mother

"Are you insane?! I rather work as a prostitute than be back with you!" Their mother said.

"No mother you're the insane one, you only want to be called that because you're lust crazy! None of us have had you as our 'mother' since the day that Serena got hurt when someone ran into her! You've been a conceded person and that's something that you've made just about all of us be like. Because of your lack of compassion to all of us Serena was harmed more than should have been. Her being hurt shouldn't have even happen! But because you did what you did she was! All of us want us to be a normal family." Lucas said seriously

Their mother looked to all of them before her eyes stopped on Serena, she was looking down sadly. "Serena is what he's saying true?"

"Why does it matter? They've hurt me just because you were being a back stabbing woman being very untruthful and faithful to the one man who'd ever love you. So why now do you care about me? I've gotten hurt more than once and never once did you or anyone else ever give a damn about me! I swear I'm like the invisible person in this damn family so do what you will. I did my part." Serena said before she left the house.

Their mother sighed and frowned before she looked to their father. "For their sake...I guess I can try. But can you not do those extra hours?"

"Of course, anything to keep you happy." Mark said as he went up to her.

Arthur knew it was only a matter of time that he was going to go back. He went outside only to see that Serena was walking down the hill. He rushed down to her and held her hand only for her to take it away from him. She hugged herself before she closed her eyes slightly.

"Follow me to the park. I'll be taking you back there." She said softly before she walked slightly faster.

"Wait...Serena!" Arthur said sadly

But he couldn't even touch her anymore, his hand went straight through her. She went straight to the sand pit and made the right type of circle and she chanted the spell before there was a small portal beside the circle. She went up to him sadly as he held her hand tightly as he cried a bit.

"Serena, I never wanted us to end like this. You have to come back with me." He said sadly

"I...I can't. Not now, not when things are the way they are. I love you so much but...You don't belong here." Serena said before she kissed him softly on the cheek

He then left and as he did she watched him with tears in her eyes. Once he was inside the portal it closed and she stayed beside the sand pit holding her knees tightly as she cried softly. Her heart hurt and she felt as if she was alone within the world like there was no one who'd could make her happy. She didn't move for a while, due to the fact she was too depressed to do so. Once it got dark she went to her dad's place only to see her siblings helping him moving things out of it. When they all saw her they all stopped what they were doing and hugged her tightly which triggered her to cry again.

"Its alright Serena, there'll be some one who'll be just like him who'll come around. Don't be so down." Lucas said softly to her. She only held on to him tightly as she cried harder.
