MOUNTAIN WEIGHTS.

1777, APRIL 04th, MONDAY 11:00am.

Oarson, Fredrick, and Koli all stood outside on the track field practicing create and going over the basics. They were in the middle of turning an orb inside out and training their spatial awareness as they spoke.

"Can't believe that Noche lady handled us all so easily," Oarson said. "I mean, I thought we were pretty strong for your average Cross soldier, but maaaaan, she was in a league of her own."

"Troubling," Fredrick said. "Maybe she's an elite Cross soldier?"

"Fo shizzle my dude," Koli responded.

"Whatever, who cares why she's so powerful," he said. "We were pitiful. Couldn't land a single blow - it's pathetic!"

Fredrick smiled before returning his attention to his shimmering red and green orb. He was deep in concentration just before his head snapped up.

"Fredrick, you look pretty serious there. Is everything alright?" Oarson asked.

"He just remembered he forgot to turn his wood-burning tools off," Koli said. "By the time he gets home the entire place will be burned down."

"No," Fredrick said. "It's just... Nevermind."

"What? Now I'm curious. Out with it man," Oarson said.

Fredrick sighed. "I just... Thought I saw the mountain... Move?"

Oarson and Koli looked at Fredrick before staring at each other. Koli burst into laughter as her friend turned to speak.

"No way dude - that's impossible."

"That's why I said nevermind."

"Fredrick be clipping into the ground cause he forgot to blow on the cartridge."

Oarson turned to Koli. "I seriously don't understand half the shit you say sometimes."

"Like a videogame. He's glitching up and down, making it look like the mountain's moving."

Fredrick ignored the twos bickering and narrowed his eyes on the mountain range. A moment later they widened.

"It just happened again."

Oarson and Koli stopped and stared at the mountains. It was motionless.

"Freddy boi, you be punking us?"

"Watch."

The three of them stared before the mountain almost imperceptibly moved a fraction up and back down.

"Holy shit!" Oarson said.

"Holy fuck!" Koli shouted.

Fredrick smiled and folded his arms.

"What, what, what the hell is going on over there!" Oarson yelled.

"Dude, I wanna see!" Koli said.

"Koli no! That's a bad idea!"

"YOLO!"

With that, Koli ran away.

"Koli wait!"

Oarson chased after her and Fredrick walked casually behind. It wasn't much later that the three of them were in a jeep driving towards the mountain range.
