"He taught her that courage wasn't the absence of fear-it was running anyway, especially if someone you loved was running beside you."
"They were an unlikely equation-the boy who ran from monsters and the girl who stood her ground. But in the space...

*💚Third Person's POV💚*
"All right, gang," Fred said, his voice taut but steady. He pointed toward the dark maw of the mine entrance. "The Monster Hive is right over there. Let's get this control panel and plug her in." The heavy, pulsating sphere felt like a bomb in their midst, which, in a way, it was.
Before they could move, a chilling sound cut through the night—the high, panicked whinny of a horse and the heavy clank of armour. A cloud of dust and smoke erupted, and from it charged the Black Knight Ghost astride a spectral steed.
"You go nowhere, knave," the ghost intoned, levelling its sword.
Fred's jaw tightened. "You guys take the long way around. I'll hold him off."
"Come on," Velma said, already turning.
"Go get him, Fred," Shaggy muttered, giving his leader a weak thumbs-up before scrambling after Velma. Julia grabbed Daphne's sleeve, tugging her gently but insistently. Daphne hesitated, her eyes locked on Fred, but finally allowed herself to be pulled away.
"Come on, Daph!" Shaggy yelled over his shoulder.
"I'm coming!" she called, breaking into a run.
They hadn't gone fifty yards when the air crackled with ozone. The 10,000 Volt Ghost materialized before them, blocking the path, its body a cage of living lightning.
"Not so fast!"
Acting on pure instinct, the group leaped over a wide, shallow puddle just as the ghost unleashed a torrent of electricity into the water. The surface exploded in a sizzling, deadly display. Shaggy pulled Julia tight against him, shielding her from the spray. Daphne, on the opposite side of the now-electrified pool, was cut off.
"You guys go," Daphne called, squaring her shoulders at the sparking spectre. "I'll take care of Sparky. Just get that control panel to the Hive!"
The Volt Ghost shrieked in anger. Shaggy didn't wait; he grabbed Velma and Julia and yanked them into a sprint. Julia's heart hammered against her ribs, a sickening cocktail of adrenaline and dread as their team was systematically split apart.
"We've got it, Daph!" Velma shouted behind her.
They darted past crumbling warehouses, the shadows long and menacing. One building's door gaped open, spilling yellow light onto the ground. Inside, the unmistakable, jerky shadows of the Skeleton Men danced on the wall.
"The Skeleton Men," Julia whispered, pointing.
A low, rumbling poot broke the tense silence. Everyone froze. Scooby looked down at his own rear, then up at them with an apologetic grimace.
"He does that when he gets nervous," Shaggy mumbled, barely moving his lips.
