Barbara (Megan McGinnis) and Adam + rest of family.
———————————————————————
Barbara was in Adams green long sleeve shirt, the next morning when they woke up. Adam, had sat up and was admiring his wife, as she stirred. He gently kissed her forehead "morning sweetie.." he whispered."Morning.." she replied and stretched. She slolwy sat up and her husband gently kissed her lips.
"How did you sleep?" Adam asked as he watched his wife get out of bed. Her curls were wild from sleeping on them, so perfect but they had so much volume. He thought she looked so beautiful.
"I slept well honey.. I'm just going to fix my hair quickly." She smiled and put her fluffy socks on.
Usually, she cuts the curls that are annoying her. So, before she left Adam said "Barbara. Don't cut it." He said seriously staring at her.
"I'm not, I'm not." She so was but it was fine, like Adam would know. She slowly walked to the bathroom. The cold floors creaked underneath her. The ghost was wearing fluffy socks to try and keep some warmth in her. She ran the warm tap, waiting for it to go warm and the began wetting her hair. She applied her leave in conditioner, curl cream and gel- also abit of mouse in the roots for volume- then began scrunching. She use a towel to squeeze the extra water out. She sighed as the parts framing her face weren't sitting right. She got her small scissors and instantly began cutting.
Eventually, Adam came and knocked on the door before coming in. He stared at her as she had some hair in the sink and the scissors in her hands. "Barbara.." he sighed and walked over to his wife.
"What? They weren't behaving. So I chopped them." She shrugged and was about to cut another but he took them off her. "Adam!" She frowned.
"Barbara, Sweetie, your hair's beautiful and these curls you cut, might dry weirdly. You need to stop cutting them off." He said looking down into her eyes.
She rolled her eyes and looked away washing the sink down "I hate them." Barb mumbled
His eyes went wide "Don't use that word." Adam said softly but seriously
She looked him seriously in the eyes "I hate them." She repeated harshly.
"Right, that's it!" He gently tickled her and then picked her up "we're going to ask the family" Adam stated
"No! No! No!" She squealed as they went down the stairs. She was hanging over his shoulder, still in her socks and his shirt. Everyone turned to look at them both.
"Good morning?" Charles asked as him and his wife Delia looked confused.
"Woah! Way to go Adam!" Beetlejuice cheered "and damnnn babs." He grinned looking at Barbaras figure. Lydia elbowed him slightly in the ribs. "Ow! Goth." The demon hissed. Lydia did it again and harder. "Okay, okay.. I'll stop." Beetlejuice put his hands up quickly.
Adam placed his wife down in front of him and she went to go back upstairs once down on the ground. Quickly, Adam turned his wife back around to face the family. "Barbara keeps cutting her curls. She says she... h-h-h- strongly dislikes them." Adam put his hands on barbaras shoulders, in order to keep her from trying to run off again.
The goth tilted her head "So, she hates them?" Lydia asked and laughed at her ghost dad being unable to still say the word 'hate'
Delia gasped and stood up "what?! Barbara, your curls are amazing! You're like- like a flower blooming!" Delia put her hands up and slowly opened them like a flower does.
"Like a cute poodle dog." Lydia added
"Or a-" charles got cut off by the demon
"Oh! or a sexy lion!" Beetlejuice said excitedly wanting to be apart of the conversation.
Adam looked to his wife not having processed what beetlejuice just said "See?- wait what?" He looked at the demon.
Barbara felt quite claustrophobic. Delia was twirling barbs curls, Adam was right behind her with his hands on her shoulders and everyone was staring at the ghost. It was making her hyperventilate slightly "Can everyone move away from me a little?" She asked directly to the family.
Her husband turned her to look at him and cupped her face, bending down slightly so they were closer in height "Honey.. what's wrong?" Adam asked worriedly
"I'm just feeling abit seen.. everyone's staring at me and I just feel squashed." She looked at him. So, he slowly guided her to sit on the couch as he wrapped his arms around her.
"Sorry." The demon first apologised then everyone else joined in. "But seriously babs, they look nice. And as someone who also hates their hair sometime, I get it." He demon smiled at her.
The ghost woman blinked "I- thank you Lawrence.." Barbara was slightly took back by how polite Beej was being.
"Lawrence?!" Lydia laughed "that's your name?" She pointed at him.
Beetlejuice grumbled "Shut up." Then crossed his arms getting upset
Barbara said "Lydia.." whilst giving the teenager 'The Barb Stare', as they called it.
The teen saw barbaras eyes and turned to the demon "Sorry." Lydia apologised then tapped beejs shoulder.
Delia took a few steps towards the ghost lady "Anyway, Barbara your hairs nice. Very pretty and it always looks nice." Delia said softly smiling at her ghost friend.
Suddenly ,"Yeah!" Was cheered by the family.
Barbar looked around her big family and smiled softly "Thank you guys.. I love you all." Barbara replied to their cheers.
Adam kissed his wife's head and smiled "So, does that mean you'll stop cutting parts of your hair?" He asked and laughed
The ghost paused for a moment thinking before saying "We'll see." In a teasing manner. She then cuddled back up to her husband.
"I like your shirt by the way babs." Beetlejuice smirked slightly and Lydia elbowed him like earlier "Ow! I was kidding! I was kidding!unless...?" Lydia dug her elbow into his side more this time. "I was joking! Jeez kid. Take a joke." He whined rubbing his ribs
The family laughed slightly while watching Lydia and beetlejuice as the two were bickering.
