Characters- barb, Adam, Lydia and a character called Matthew.
———————————
Lydia had just finished school and she'd brought a friend, called Mathew back home. They both laughed as they walked through the door. "So, this is my house!" Lydia laughed nervously. "Very nice." He smiled looking into her eyes. "So, excited about the project?" Lydia asked before she spotted her ghost mom and Adam in the corner of her eye. "One second, I just- want something to drink?" Lydia rushed before Matthew could answer.

Barbara was drying a cup, staring through the kitchen door way. "Barbara, don't get involved." Adam said sternly. "I won't, I won't..."Barbara defensively said then gasped "she's walking towards us act natural!" She stress whispered, as the two posed unnaturally.

"Guys, knock it off." Lydia whispered so Matthew couldn't hear. The goth crossed her arms looking seriously at the two ghosts. "Hey, tell your ghost mom that. Not me." Adam laughed and kept washing a pan. "Barbara. Don't. Get. Involved." Lydia looked really unhappy. "Okay, okay but who is he?" Barb asked softly and curiously. "He's just a friend! We're working on a project! Oh, you guys are so patheti-" Lydia got cut of through mid shouting by Matthew

"Lyds? Who are you speaking to?" Matthew asked. "No one." Lydia stressed and pushed him out of the kitchen. "Let's go upstairs and start that project." Lydia laughed nervously.

Lydia and Matthew were working on their project but Barbara wanted to check up on everything. Barbara whispered "Lydia." Through the door. "Lydiaaaaa" she's called a little louder. Lydia sighed hearing Barbara and rolled her eyes. "Sorry, did I say something wrong?" Matthew asked nervously. "No,no, no, just- I need the restroom. One second." Lydia stood up quickly.

Lydia went out the room and her eyes went wide, since she saw Adam carrying Barbara down the stairs and Barbara was trying to get him to let her down. "Thank you." Lydia mumbled to Adam. The ghost dad gave a slight smile at his daughter. "Sorry, about that." Lydia apologised to Matthew as she walked back in.

Adam put his wife down in the living room and kept held of her wrist, so she wouldn't run back up. "Adam, let go!" Barbara whined. "No honey. You need to listen to me for a second. You need to behave and leave her to figure it out. I know that you're going to talk about your past and boys like him but you didn't listen to your mother, so why would she listen to you? This is something she had to learn by herself." Adam looked his wife in the eyes. When he finally felt her pulling away stopping, he placed his hands on her waist.

Barbara nodded "yeah, I guess so..." she sighed and Adam gently kissed her. "Good girl." He smiled softly as he held her close to him trying to calm her.

Matthew excused himself to the restroom. His phone was open and was getting lots of messages. Lydia took a look and a sad expression came across her face.

"She's so weird 😭"
"Why bro?"
"She was yelling at nothing in the kitchen."
"Weirdooo!!! Hey, gonna guess she's easy tho."
"Yh yh, at least there's some positive😂💪"

Lydia's eyes were welling up as she read these things. She packed everything up and as soon as he came out of the restroom, she threw his stuff at him "get out." She huffed. "What but-" Lydia cut him off "GET OUT!" She yelled, pushing him down stairs. "But why?" He asked in confusion. "I saw the texts. Easy, huh? You're a pig. Get out." She pointed to the door.

Meanwhile, the ghost parents that Matthew couldn't see, were watching in shock and also confusion.

When Matthew left. Lydia ran upstairs crying and slammed her door shut. Barbara looked at Adam in desperation. Adam let go of her. "Go see her." Adam said softly to his wife.

Barbara knocked on Lydia's door and slowly opened it "it's me Barbara. Oh, lydia. I wanted to warn you but-" she sighed seeing the girl crying into her pillow. "Come here" the ghost mom put her arms out. The daughter hugged the ghost tightly as she sobbed. "What happened?" Barbara asked. Lydia got her phone out, showing her mother the photos she took of Matts phone. "Oh sweetie.." barb sighed.

"Boys are pigs." Lydia cried against Barbara. "Yes. Yes, they are." Barbara nodded holding the teenager closer and rubbing the goths shoulder. Adam came up, watching his girls hugging. "I hope I'm not a pig" Adam blinked. "No, no you're not." Lydia shook her head, laughing through the tears, as the ghost dad joined the group hug
