Characters- Barbara, Adam and Beej. Mentions Lydia and family.

They were all having dinner- a delicious thanksgiving meal that Barbara and Adam had made as a first thanksgiving as a big family- when suddenly Barbara lent forwards slightly, feeling some pain in her back and lower abdomen. It had been a while since she felt this pain, she was a ghost. This wasn't right.

Adam looked at his wife and rubbed her lower back "are you okay honey?" He asked with his mouth full but politely covered it with his other hand.

Barbara nodded and stood up Slowly "may I be excused?" She asked, seriously not looking okay.

She rushed up to the bathroom, while everyone kept eating. Let's just say she was lucky other women lived in this house.

Everyone had finished food. Barbaras food sat cold and untouched, in the same place it had been for the past ten minutes. Adam eventually stood up and cleaned his mouth "I'm going to check barbaras okay..." Adam worried.

"Oh you're gonna do much more than check up on her" Beetlejuice winked, which resulted in Lydia stomping on his foot under the table, making him yelp. "Ow, what the hell kid?!" He shouted.

Adam ignored beetlejuice and walked upstairs to the bathroom but his wife wasn't there. "Barbara?" He called out as he walked up to the newly renovated attic. The couple had done it up to their liking and made a nice bedroom that was very Maitlands."Honey?" He paused when he saw Barbara curled up In bed, breathing in and out through the pain. "Oh Barbara! Hon, are you okay?" He sat next to her rubbing her lower back.

She teared up and shook her head "no, I'm scared and I have such back cramps.." she sniffled through the tears, as her body tensed.

"Cramps?" Adam asked tilting his head. "Oh.. wait, what? But we're dead. Is that normal?" He began thinking of lots of questions.

"I don't know, hence why I'm scared.." she turned and put her head into his chest, as he held her. "Could you maybe ask beetlejuice?" Barbara asked her husband.

He nodded "yeah, do you need anything? Hot water bottle, pain killers, food?" He suggested

She shook her head "no, just answers.." the ghost was very worried. Her husband kissed her head and tucked her in to bed. Eventually she fell asleep from all of the pain.

"Um- beej, I need to ask you something." Adam stated nervously.

"Yes, I'll marry you!" Beetlejuice turned to Adam and went to hug the ghost.

"No no no! It's about.." he looked around and pulled Beej to the side "periods.. ghosts having them. Is that normal?" Adam whispered.

"Adam. I don't know what you mean, sexy. I don't know what that is." Lawrence turned to the rest of the family and shouted "Hey! Losers! What's a period?" He shouted. Then Delia explained. Beej turned to Adam with a horrified look on his face "you're?"

"No! Not me. Barbara." Adam rolled his eyes "just answer. Yes it's normal or no."

Beetlejuice shrugged "I'm not sure.. let me see her and I might be able to tell you."

Adam gave in since he wanted to make sure Barbara was alright. He led the demon upstairs to the attic then left him to speak with Barbara.

"Um- babs?" Beej poked her arm and she screamed getting scared.

"What the hell!" She shouted and frowned

"Sorry, sorry. So I've been taught what they are and I have no idea. Sorry." Beetlejuice was actually quite worried now.

Barbar closed her eyes and moved to her side as the cramps began getting bad again "oh owwww!" She whined.

Beetlejuice went wide eyed and stared at her. He patter her shoulder awkwardly "there there." He looked around "I don't know how to help." He rubbed her back gently copying what he saw Adam do at the table. This made Barbara relax slightly. "That looks like it hurts.." his hair went blue and purple as he felt sad and worried.

"It does. a lot." Barbara said softly to beetlejuice.

"I'll do my research babs and make sure it's nothing bad. Okay? I promise." The demon smiled softly at her.

"Thank you Lawrence." Barbara was the only one that was allowed to call him that.
