Characters- Lydia, Barbara (Kerry's) and Adam.
————————
One afternoon Barbara had been stress cleaning. Usually, when she felt lots of pressure or anxiety she would clean or bake. So, today she decided to tackle the dirty old attic. She picked up something that looked like an old mouldy cloth and gagged as the dust pounced at her face. "Ugh, ew... so much shit everywhere.." she shook her head.
Lydia was stood at the damaged red attic door and was took by surprise at the language Barbara had just used. "Excuse me young lady?" Lydia mocked the phrase Barbara usually says, whenever Lydia uses a bad word.
To say Barbara was suppose to be the scary one, Lydia was a lot better at it. "Ah!" The ghost screamed. "Oh my f- my goodness you scared the s- living c- life out of me!" She put her hand on her chest and crouched slightly trying to catch her breath.
Lydia blinked. She wasn't a child, she knew all those words Barbara was trying to say but didn't. "Is something wrong? Want me to summon Beej? He likes to kill people and you seem stressed so..." she shrugged "win, win I guess." Lydia said all of this In order to get a reaction out of Barbara. She loved pushing peoples buttons and testing their limits.
"I- what?! No!" Barbara raised her voice slightly, which was rare. She began fiddling with the string that held her wrapped dress in place. However this quickly turned into her scratching anxiously at her hands.
"Okay, right.." Lydia walked over to Barbara and took her hands gently "Something must be wrong. I know I usually like messing with you but are you actually okay?" Lydia firmly said the word 'actually'. She knew Barbara was usually happy around people and a mess by herself. Adam had told the young girl.
Barbara nodded and let out a sigh "yeah, I am..." she turned and began tidying.
"Barbara? Ghost mom?" Lydia asked in concern
"I think Adams mad at me.. I haven't heard from him and usually he wakes up next to me but today he didn't. He was gone." She kept cleaning and throwing trash to the side. She sniffled and one tear rolled down her cheek but she wiped it away quickly.
Lydia doubted if that's all that was going on, but she knew Barbara like to keep her personal (after) life and worries separate from her family (after) life. "Okay... um- well, why don't I help you out?" She asked and pointed to a box "I can throw that out."
"No, no! That's a whole box full of my memories. Every photo, video- Everything is in there." She went Infront of the box.
The ghost thought for a second and sat on the floor and patted next to her, then Lydia sat there. "Want to look through?" Barbara asked.
Lydia nodded excitedly. She didn't know much about Barbaras life when she was alive. "I didn't know you liked taking photos and videos." A little smile came across Lydia's face.
Barbara nodded "oh yeah, I was obsessed." She let out a nervous laugh.
"Me too!" Lydia said excitedly, then coughed "I mean.. yeah, me too." The teen expressed.
—————————————————————Barbara got the first album out called 'Baby Barbara' these photos ranged from her being born to around 10. The pair went through some photos, then looked at the one of Barbara on her first day of school.
The young Barbara had- dark drown hair and a cheeky smile on her face, which is how you could identify it was Barbara.
"You still do that." Lydia laughed, then began focusing on the colour of the child's hair. "Woah. You had really dark hair did it slowly go blonde?" Lydia asked.
