Barbara One shots

A summers day

It was a warm summer day and the family had decided to have a pool day. The maitlands had adopted this little girl called Skye, so Barbara was getting the little girl ready for the pool. Skye had her one piece on, her hair tied into a pony tail, which Barbara had put leave in conditioner in so that her hair wouldn't dry out.
Skye put her little flip flops on and Barbara blew the little girls floaty ring up, then put her goggles on Skye's head.

"There we go. Why don't you go out to daddy? He's helping the boys set up some shade. Or you can go to auntie Delia. Her and Lydia are making drinks." Barbara smiled holding her little girls hands gently.

"I want to go in the pool!" Skye whined. "Okay, That's fine." Barbara responded. "Just tell daddy to watch you, yeah? He will probably go in with you if you ask nicely." Barb kissed Skye's forehead and Skye ran off to go find Adam.

Barbara had a green bikini on, a floppy hat, a bikini coverup that wrapped around her waist, her round sunglasses and her flip flops. Barbara followed after her daughter who was practically bursting with excitement.

"Daddy! Daddy! Can you come in with me please? I want to swim." The little girl looked up at Adam with her cute big doll eyes."Pleasseeee!" She pouted pretending to be sad. "Fine, okay!" Adam laughed and picked up his daughter.

Barbara stood at the door, watching her two favourite people in the world having fun "be careful with her Adam!" As she said that Adam cannonballed into the pool with Skye. When they came up, Skye was holding onto her dad giggling. This little girl really did help Adam come out of his shell, he was a new, protective person, that would do anything for his family. He was a father.

Barbara rolled her eyes playfully and headed inside to speak to Delia along with the rest of the family. "Are any of you guys going in the pool?" The ghost asked curiously. Beej and lydia both replied "yes", Delia said "no" and charles said "probably".

Barbara helped bring out the cocktails, that Delia had made and Delia brought out the fresh juice, for those not drinking.

Lydia looked at Barbara then at Beej. "Do any of you want to play something?" She asked shyly. "Sure!" The ghost and demon responded.

Barbara was quite a competitive woman. When they began playing swing ball, Barbara beat both Lydia and beetlejuice. She loved winning, it was her favourite thing! "YES!" She screamed "I win!!" She danced on the spot celebrating her victory. Adam looked at his wife and smiled. Skye giggled "mommy is silly."

After this, Lydia and Beej teamed up wanting to find a sport that Barbara wouldn't win at, but every sport she won at. Which was strange, since In Highschool she use to ditch gym class.

Barbara was satisfied now, so she sat down on her sun bed drinking her cocktail. Meanwhile, Charles lifted his wife Delia as she screamed "Charles!" The man jumped in with his wife. When Delia came up for a breath, she splashed him and gasped dramatically before saying "Charles." She huffed but they were still hugging and holding eachother.

Lydia glance at her dad and smiled, this was the first time in a while that she'd seen her dad happy. Suddenly, the teen got and idea. "Beej stand near the edge of the pool. I have a have idea!" She grinned as the demon did as told. She took a few steps back before jolting towards him, pushing him and herself into the pool. The demon laughed and high-fived her "good one Lyds!" The two laughed in unison.

Adam smirked slightly "Barbara! Your turn." Barbara shook her head, enjoying being sat down "no, way honey." She chuckled. "Skyezy, stay with auntie Delia and uncle Charles, darling." He gently passed the little girl to Delia and began getting out.

"Hi!" Skye tilted her head to the side, smiling cutely. Delia looked at Charles, looking so happy "oh, I want one." She pouted as Skye put her head on Delias shoulder cuddling close. "Okay, darling." Charles gently kissed Delias forehead and Delias eyes lit up excitedly.

"Barbaraaa" Adam called her name getting closer and closer with his dripping wet arms out. "No, no, no!" Barbara whined, as her drenched husband hugged her tightly then picked her up. Everyone began chanting "Barbara, Barbara, Barbara!" As the ghost screamed "NO! Adam this isn't funny! Put me dow-" Adam jumped into the pool holding her bridal style.

Barbara glared at him trying to hide her smile. "what? You said to put you down." Adam smiled. "You're such an idiot." Barbara rolled her eyes as the maitlands gently shared kissed.

Beetlejuice looked at them all smiling "it's been a good day. I mean, I never knew babs could handle balls." Everyone turned and looked at the demon. "Okay right I heard that. That's how you know I've been hanging around with these prudes, for far too long." He pointed at the maitlands and laughed "I'm kidding but seriously thanks guys."
