Summary: During a mission you get kidnapped by Hydra, they're experimenting on you. When Natasha and Yelena find you, you hope you overheard the snippets of conversation between the Hydra agents correctly.

Warnings: kidnapping, shooting, getting shot, blood, experimenting/injections and I think that's it?

You woke up, strapped to a bed in the middle of the room, to two hushed voices you couldn't quite make out what they were saying. The only words you could make out were experimenting and healing. You closed your eyes again quickly, making sure they didn't notice that you had woken up.

A loud voice booms through the room, at the same time a fist connects with your face. You open your eyes, your face expressionless. Sure that hurt, but Natasha had taught you to never show weakness because when you do, they over power you.

"Good, you're finally awake" the man that just punched you says while he motions for the other guy to come closer. "Time for your last injection" he says while he lifts up a needle to your arm. Another blow to your head and you're knocked out again.

The next time you wake up it's dark. The light that was shining through the small windows at the top of the wall before, now completely gone. You must have been here for hours. Just as you start trying to get your wrists untied a door creeks open and a bright light fills the room.

Great, they're back. You think as you squint your eyes.

* 8 hours earlier *

You and Steve were on a mission to take down a hydra base that was recently brought to your attention. You thought all the bases were taken down, but some members stayed active and new bases appeared.

You split up searching the base, relaying back to each other what you're seeing through your earpieces.

"Y/n, what's your status?" Steve says over the ear piece "y/n?" now a bit more worried since he hasn't heard from you for a bit. "Y/n, come in." Steve keeps trying as he's running through the hallway you went in. You are nowhere to be found.

"S-Steve, outside" you manage to speak before being knocked out. Immediately Steve starts running back. Once he's outside he sees you being dragged into a helicopter on the other side of the huge parking lot. There was no way he'd be able to catch up, but he ran anyways. The helicopter lifted as Steve was half way, with all his strength he threw a tracking device at the helicopter.

He hurried back to the compound to gather the other Avengers to help find you. At the compound he's immediately met by a group of Avengers. Only one comes storming up to him "where's y/n? Rogers where is my girlfriend?" Natasha asks worriedly as she doesn't see you ride in with him.

"They took her, I'm so sorry" Steve lifts up the tracking device "I managed to get a tracker on the helicopter, I came here for some reinforcements. So get ready, were leaving in five."

Nat is already on her way to the jet when Clint stops her "Don't you think you should sit this one out? We'll get her back for you, I promise." Putting a hand on her shoulder "I'm going, Clint. You can't convince me to stay."

The agents were bringing in a new machine, it looked like something that would go over your head. And sure enough they placed it a the head of the bed. While they were plugging in all kinds of wires you heard gun shots being fired from up the stairs. The hydra agent in charge ushered the other hydra agent to check out what was going on upstairs. When he opened the door he got shot and fell back down the stairs.

The agent in charge quickly loosened the straps and pulled you up, using you as a shield. Natasha and Yelena walk down the stairs guns ready.

"Stop right there" the man shouts "one more step and she's dead."

They stop moving taking in your worn out state, blood running down your nose, bruised cheek and black eye.

You lock your eyes with Nat's "shoot him".

"I can't I don't have a clear shot" she replies. "Then shoot through me, it's our only chance" you plead. You had overheard them say healing. You were hoping that meant what you thought it did and that it worked. But if not, screw it right?

Yelena looks over at her sister, who seems to not be able to comprehend what you just told her to do. Yelena looks at you with question in her eye. You nod in response.

She shoots you in your stomach. You fall to the ground and so does the hydra agent.

Natasha rushes to your side "are you okay? We need to get you to the infirmary" she says putting pressure to your wound.

"Hey hey look at me" you say "I'm alright, looks like their experiment worked" looking down to your stomach where the wound was slowly closing.

When Natasha realized you were going to be alright she hugged you tight, "I'm so sorry you had to go through this." She whispers in your ear. A tear rolls down your cheek as you relax into her embrace.

With an arm around your waist Natasha guides you to the quinjet waiting outside, with Yelena right behind you. Back at the quinjet you're met with the rest of the Avengers. Steve runs up to you "I'm so sorry y/n, I wasn't fast enough." You let go of Natasha to give him a hug. "I'm just glad you're safe Steve."

When you let go of Natasha she walked over to her sister. "If you ever do anything like that again, you're dead." Yelena rolls her eyes "she literally asked for it, all I did was comply."

You saw the hurt in Yelena's eyes when Natasha shot her a disapproving look. Before you could move over to say something about it Steve led you into the quinjet, where you quickly fell asleep on one of the stretchers.

When you woke up Natasha was by your side. You were so exhausted that you didn't even woke up when they carried you into the infirmary. When Natasha notices that you're awake, she looks at you with a smile "I'm so glad you're okay" she says while squeezing your hand. "Me too" you say squeezing back "where's Yelena?"

She looks at you confused "I don't know, why?"

"Baby, don't be mad at her. She just did what I asked. Can you please go apologize to her and then send her my way?"

You hear a knock on the door and Yelena walks in. "Look I'm sorry that-" she started but you interrupted her "Don't. You don't have to apologize, you did exactly as I asked. And it worked, so we're all good." She looked at your face to see if there was any sign of a lie, there wasn't, so she relaxed and sat down. "She really loves you, you know" you smile at her "I do."
