You get woken up by F.R.I.D.A.Y. announcing that Natasha immediately requires your presence in her room. Seeing the time, you wake up instantly. Having a strong feeling that she's having a nightmare. You rush to Nat's room. When you get there you open the door, you find Natasha calling out for you while still asleep.

Walking over to her side you sit down on her bed, "It's okay, I'm right here." You place your hand on her shoulder giving it a gentle shake to wake her from her nightmare. She wakes up with tears streaming down her face. "Hey, I'm here." You say taking her face in your hands, making her look you in the eyes. "See, I'm with you, can you feel my hands on your cheeks?"

When realisation hits her that it was a nightmare and that it wasn't real she nods her head, a way of answering your question. She sits up, putting her head on your shoulder. Your arms instinctively move to hold her. Natasha holds you tight while you can hear her softly crying. Lifting one of your hands to run your fingers through her hair, soothing her and silently letting her know that you're there for her.

"Everyone died," Natasha starts telling you about her nightmare, "We were on a mission, and everyone died. I should've protected you, it was all my fault." She let's go of you and looks up at your face, "They killed you and Yelena right in front of me." You take her hands in yours, "I'm sorry your nightmare felt so real. But when we're on a mission, we're a team. We protect each other. When something bad happens, it's never blamed on one person." You start stroking the back of her hand with your thumb. "And look at me I'm okay, no harm." She looks you up and down and takes a deep breath, "What about Yelena?"

"I'm guessing by the time that she's asleep, but I'll ask F.R.I.D.A.Y. to read her vitals." You do as you say and ask F.R.I.D.A.Y. to read Yelena's vitals to Nat's room, Natasha relaxes immediately when she hears that Yelena is doing good as well. "Are you ready to try and get some more rest?" You ask. "Will you stay?"

"Of course, I'm not going anywhere." With your answer she lays back down on the bed, moving backwards and lifting the cover so you can join her. You lay down on your back and Natasha move closer to you, you wait until she's comfortable before wrapping your arm protectively around her. She puts one hand on your hand which was resting on your stomach and starts playing with your fingers. "Will you maybe run your fingers through my hair again?" Natasha asks you softly.

You move your hand through her hair as a response and she relaxes into your touch. Once you feel her slow down the playing with your fingers, you know she's starting to fall asleep. You keep running your fingers through her hair even a couple minutes after she stopped playing with your fingers, to make sure she actually fell asleep.

The next morning you wake up with Natasha still in your arms, her hand intertwined with yours. You look down and see that she's already awake, "Good morning." You say with a raspy morning voice. "Morning malyshka," She replies, her Russian accent more present than usual, "thank you for being here." She says kissing your cheek. "How about we go get some breakfast?" You suggest.

Hand in hand you walk to the kitchen in the common room. When Natasha sees Yelena sitting at the counter she lets go of your hand and runs to her sister, giving her a big hug. Yelena hugs her sister back once she's not startled anymore. She looks over Nat's shoulder to you with a questioning look. You mouth 'nightmare', Yelena nods and hugs her sister tight.

You get some coffee ready and make some pancakes for the both of you. When you're flipping pancakes you feel Natasha moving towards you. She puts her arms around your waist, hugging you from behind. Placing kisses on your shoulder. "I'm glad you're both okay." She says, still holding you tight. You had a feeling she wasn't going to let you out of her sight today, but that was okay with you.
