Buried Secrets Pt. 1

[A/N: It's a rough one lol, lot's of angst.]

"Everyone ready?" April questioned, her tone deadly serious. "Casey Jones was born ready." Said male replied with a smirk, pulling down his hockey mask. "Let's do this." Raph said, twirling... dusters. (Y/N) couldn't help but to giggle at everyone's seriousness for cleaning. It's been a week since the stealth competition, and it was time for the weekly deep clean of the house. 

At the same time, everyone ran off to their assigned chores with a shout (except (Y/N), she calmly went to hers.). Raph went to dusting the living room, Donnie started on mopping, Mikey was dusting in the tall areas (like the chandelier), Leo was cleaning windows, April was cleaning the bathrooms, (Y/N) was cleaning the kitchen, and Casey was cleaning... nothing.

April started to scrub the bathroom walls when Casey called out to her, "Looking good, Red. Keep up all the hard work." Casey ended with a wink while sitting in the bathtub. April stood, "Real funny, Jones. Now stop slacking off and help out." She threw the sponge she was cleaning with at Casey's face. The male removed the sponge and smirked at April, "Anything for you, moan cherry."

Donnie popped his head through the bathroom door, once again irritated with Casey, and corrected, "It's 'Mon Cheri'." Donnie fully entered the bathroom, walking up to Casey who now was standing in the bathtub, one leg propped up on the ledge, "I can help you, April." The purple masked turtle then took the mop that was in his hand and knocked out Casey's propped leg, causing him to lose balance. As Casey was wobbling on one leg, Donnie spun the mop behind his back before using it to push Casey out of the bathroom.

But in doing that, Casey tripped out of the bathroom into Mikey, who happened to be on a stool, dusting. Mikey teetered on the stool for a second before falling over the railing with a shout and onto the stairs, bouncing down them... directly towards Raph and Leo. "You got to be kidding m-" Before Raph could finish his sentence, Mikey fell into him. Luckily, Leo was able to move out of the way.

Due to the crashing sounds, (Y/N) came running out of the kitchen in just enough time to see a mop bucket fall onto Raph's head and Mikey roll across the floor, moving the rug that laid over the basement door. "Mikey! I just vacuumed!" Leo complained. "Yeah?" Raph stood, removing the mop bucket from his head, "Well I'm about ta mop the floor with him!" 

"Mikey! Are you okay?" (Y/N) asked, concerned for the orange masked turtle. Mikey ignored her, his attention going directly to the basement door, "Woah, guys. Check it out!" At this point, everyone had come downstairs. "A trap door? I didn't even know there was a basement." April said, confused. "What do you suppose is down there?" Leo rhetorically asked. Almost instantly, Mikey ran and hid behind Raph, "Evil clown!" Raph took out his sai's and twirled them, "There's only one way to find out." 

But before he could lodge them into the door, (Y/N) threw herself onto it, "Wait!" Everyone stared at her with wide eyes, not expecting this outburst. "You're not allowed in here!" April raised her eyebrow, confused and slightly irritated, "What? Why?" (Y/N) looked between everyone nervously before answering, "Because, it was one of my parents last wishes before they disappeared that nobody went into the basement."

Everyone became slightly uncomfortable, except for one. This was (Y/N)'s house, after all. She was letting them stay here out of the goodness of her heart. "Alright, we'll leave it be." Raph said, putting away his sai's. (Y/N) sighed in relief and smiled at everyone, "Thank you for understanding. Now, lets get back to cleaning." She left back to the kitchen after putting the rug back and everyone else was about to leave to return to their chores also but stopped at a soft, "Wait." 

It was April. Her eyes were narrowed in the direction her cousin left. "I don't have a good feeling about this. We don't keep secrets in our family." She then turned to the red masked turtle, "Raph, open it." Casey's, Mikey's, Leo's, and Donnie's eyes went wide. "Wait, what?!" Donnie and Leo whispered shouted together. "April's right," Raph turned to his brothers. "We don't know (Y/N) that well. For all we know, her parents could be down there."
