Y/N's P.O.V.
You woke up to the sound of your rooster, Elvis, crowing and to the sound of rain hitting the roof of the farm house. When you looked out the window that was next to your bed, you saw that it was covered with rain drops, and that it was indeed light outside. You then looked to your nightstand that was currently holding a small white table lamp, a small (f/c) circular analog clock and an oval shaped locket made of white gold. The clock read: '6:03' while you grabbed the locket to open it. Inside of the oval locket was a small picture of you and your parents when you were younger, and when they were still alive. You couldn't help but to have a bittersweet smile as you looked down onto the smiling and laughing faces of you and your parents.Another loud crow from Elvis snapped you out of your reminiscent trance, and you promptly hooked the locket chain around your neck. As you started your morning routine to get ready for a day full of chores, you couldn't help but to get a bad feeling. You don't know why, but something about today felt off.
If only you knew and could prepare for a phone call that you were going to get, late that evening.

April's P.O.V.
Me, Casey and the turtles were all in my, once again mutated, fathers party wagon, heading out of NYC. Casey's driving, I'm in the passenger seat and Donnie, Raph and Mikey are in the back, surrounding an unconscious and beat up Leo. I turn around in my seat to see Donnie pull a blanket over Leo and solemnly say "I'm sorry, Leo. You were right. If we'd just left the city when you said, the Kraang would never have found the lair and started the invasion. None of this would have happened."Then I started to get to thinking. We can't stay here anymore, with the Kraang invasion and all. Where could we go? Then I remember my cousin
Y/N! She's at the family home right now! She can help us! I just hope she doesn't freak out too much about seeing the turtles, like I did. "I know a place we can go upstate. My old family home. We used to go there every summer... We can stay as long as we want. No one's around for miles except for my cousin who's currently staying there. But I'll talk to her about our situation. She should be fine with it." I offered. "Upstate, eh? Sounds good to Casey Jones." Casey replied, while referring to himself in third person. "Did you find your dad and little sister?" I asked. Casey sadly looked down "No sign of 'em. They probably got Kraang-itized." I leaned over to give him a hug and lay my head on his shoulder.I felt so hopeless with everything that happened in the last 24 hours. And I can tell that I'm not the only one. "What's gonna happen now, Raph?" I overhear Mikey ask his older brother. "For the first time in my life, I have no idea, little brother." The red masked turtle replied. "I miss Master Splinter..." The orange clad turtle stated sadly as we continue to drive into the night.

It's about 11:30 when we make a pit stop at a 24-hour gas station. The convenience store part of the gas station is closed, but the pumps are still going thankfully. Next to the convenience store are two portable toilets. The boys go to use them while I offered to fill up the party wagon and watch Leo. As the gas pump is filling up the wagon, I decide to call Y/N, hoping that she's still awake. The phone rings about four times and I start to think that she's asleep and won't pick up, until I hear her groggy and tired voice ask: "April? What's wrong? Why are you calling me at 11:30 at night?" "Hey cuz," I reply weakly. "I'm sorry to call you so late, but... I'm not alright. I don't know if you heard or not, but New York City was alien-ized by aliens called 'The Kraang'. And my dad... was one of the victims."
"Oh my goodness April... I'm so sorry... Are you alright? Physically, I mean."
"Yeah, I'm okay... I was able to escape with a few of my friends... I was actually wondering if we could stay with you? Just until we get back on our feet."
"Yes, of course you guys can! How many people is there going to be? So I know how to set up the rooms."
"There's six of us, including me. But the thing is, Y/N, four of my friends... look different..."
"What do you mean?"
"They're just like you and me! But they don't look... normal. You'll see when we get there."
"...Okay? Should I be scared?"
"No! No! They're really nice! I swear! I trust them with my life!"
"Okay... I trust you April."
"Thank you... also one of them is really injured. If you could have the first aid kit ready when we get there, that would be great!"
"...Alright. Anything else I need to know?"
"Nothing, except that I owe you big time."
"Darn right you do." She ends with a chuckle.
I chuckle back, then hear the pump stop. "Alright, we should be there around 7." I state. "Okay, I guess I'll see you guys then. Be safe, April."
She responds. "Of course." I say as I hang up the phone. As I put the gas cap back onto the tank, Donnie walks up to me and asks: "Was that your cousin?"
"Yeah," I respond.
"Are... are you sure that she'll accept us?" He asks with uncertainty present in his voice. "She might be stand off-ish at first, but when she gets to know you guys, she'll can't help but to care for you. Don't worry, Donnie. She'll accept you guys." I reassure him. He gives me a weak smile and I return it. I then put my hand on his shoulder and say: "Go and get some rest." He nods as he gets into the party wagon with Mikey and Raph. Casey hops back into the driver's side while I get back into the passenger side. "Upstate, here we come." I mumble, before Casey pulls us back onto the road.
