Wave's POV:

Splash

Darkness. Darkness all round. Swimming to the surface, I see-

"Ahh!" I said sitting up in my bed. I looked around my room, shaking.

"Just another nightmare." I said to myself, as I laid back down "It's not real. You're safe in you den. No need to worry."

However, try as I might, I knew I wasn't falling asleep again for a long time. With a sigh I stood up and walked out of my bedroom, deciding to eat something to ease my mind. I headed for a small bag that sat on a shelf in the kitchen and rummaged around in it. Finding a few sitrus berries, I began to eat while looking out the window at the sky. The faintest touches of light had begun to spread across the sky from the East turning it from black to dark blue. I saw a group of Noctowl flying back to their nest and I smiled.

Putting the last of the sitrus berries in my mouth, I opened the small wooden door to my den and walked outside, closing it behind me. I then turned my attention towards the stream next to my den. The burbling of it always brought me peace. Or...at least it did when I didn't have the nightmare. The one about the water. And the screams...

I quickly shook my head, clearing my mind of those dark thoughts. I took the now empty bag and put it around my neck before diving into the stream. The stream wasn't very wide or deep, but it was large enough for me to swim comfortably. As I moved down the stream, I smiled to myself as I remembered the day I bought the waterproof bag I was wearing now.

It had been a few months since I had first entered the brand new store to look around. The store was called Louie's Luxuries, named after the Oranguru that owned it. When I entered the small store, I was immediately greeted by the normal/psychic type.

"Hello and welcome to my store!" He had said "Are you looking for anything in particular?"

"No, not really. I just came in to look around." I replied.

"Well, if you do need any help, just let me know."

I thanked the kind pokemon and began browsing the store when something caught my eye. It was none other than the waterproof bag. I excitedly took it off the shelf and expected it. I was beaming...that was, until I saw the price tag.

"5000 pokedollars!" I muttered to myself "I can't afford that."

I sadly put it back on the shelf and turned around to find the Oranguru right next to me.

"Ahhh!" I yelled, jumping back slightly.

"Sorry to frighten you, my friend, but I couldn't help but overhear your dilemma. Tell me, how many pokedollars do you have?"

I reached into my old non-waterproof bag and pulled out its sad contents. "Only 1500." I had told the shopkeeper.

"1000 will do."

"W-what? Sir, I am more than happy to pay for the whole thing later, once I have the right amount, that is." I had protested.

"No, no. 1000 will do. However," the Oranguru began, a twinkle in his eyes "since this shop is new, I do need some employees to help me run it. I will let you pay for the bag with your 1000 pokedollars if you work for me till I see fit that you have paid for the other 4000. Deal?"

"Yes sir." I had said happily.

As I reached a bend in the stream, I jumped out and shook myself, removing any excess water off of me. I looked around and spotted the familiar path that lead to the center of Sunspire Town. By the time I reached town, the horizon was just the slightest bit touched with golden rays of sun. I walked up to Louie's Luxuries and pulled a small key out of his bag. Putting it into the lock in the door, I opened the door and let myself inside. Once I closed the door behind me, I walked behind the counter. After setting my bag down on the counter itself, I grabbed a towel and, using small bursts of bubble beam, began cleaning the store.
