Several Hours Earlier

Moon's POV:

As the light of the sunrise hit my face I woke up and immediately thought that everything that had happened to me was just a dream. But when I looked around, I joyfully realized it wasn't. Wave loved me. He loved me! I moved my head to look at him, trying not to wake him. I stared at his sweet, cute, handsome face and blushed.

Why am I blushing? He loves me and I love him. There isn't anything to blush about anymore.

I shifted slightly so I could better see the sunrise. After doing so, however, Wave woke with a start and looked around, most likely thinking the same thing I had when I first woke up. 

"W-what? M-moon? W-where-" He stuttered, looking at me in confusion. 

I pressed my lips to his and smiled as I drew back. "Good morning, handsome." 

Wave was silent for a long time before he said "So it wasn't a dream. . . ."

I laughed and he grinned. "I thought the same thing when I first woke up."

"Well, I guess that shows how connected we are."

"Wave. I didn't know you were a. . . .what does Crystal call Branch? Oh right! A charmer." 

"I guess you could call me that." 

Wave placed a kiss on top of my head and pulled me closer. We both watched the sunrise and just generally enjoyed each others company. After the sun had completely passed above the horizon and began rising slowly, Wave shifted and I looked over at him. 

"I wish we didn't have to, but I should probably get you back because your brother and I guess your heartless sister are both worried about you." He said, scratching behind his ear. 

"Cupcake isn't heartless. She's soulless."

We both burst out laughing and laughed for long enough that my chest began to hurt. Once we both got a hold of ourselves I looked at Wave and frowned a bit.

"You're probably right. Branch is probably assembling the military to search for me as we speak." I sighed and looked across the water. "Sometimes I wish he wasn't so overprotective."

Wave nodded in understanding. "I get it. But. . . .he only does it cause he loves you. Like I do. Sometimes I. . . ."

"You what?"

". . . .I wish my parents were still around so they could be overprotective about me. I wish I had somemon who cared about me as much as Branch does about you."

I smiled and laughed a bit. "But Wave, you have me, remember?"

I could see the fact dawn on his face and his face started beaming. "How do I keep forgetting that you're my girlfriend now!? I guess it's just cause it's too wonderful for my brain to comprehend."

"Charmer." I teased.

Wave smiled and stood up.

"Shall we be going?"

"Of course."

"MOON!!!!"

Branch came running from inside the house, faster than any Jolteon I knew. He tackled me in a hug and wouldn't let go even after I told him to stop. Crystal had to come and pry him off of me with some help from Wave.

"We're so glad you're okay." Crystal said, giving Branch a side eye. "Well, one of us was way more worried about you than the rest of us. Unnecessarily worried, one might say."
