Intermission time again!

Wave: You mean you aren't going to focus on me and Moon?

Yes. That's what I mean Mr. Sarcasm.

Wave: But isn't this story about us? It IS called Moonlit Waves after all.

No! It is not just about you! It's actually about how-

Wave: About what?

You almost tricked me, you sly fish face.

Wave: Tricked you! Me? I would never.

Shush. But to answer your question, no this is not just about you. And this isn't just a romance story either. This is also an action/adventure story. So deal with it.

Wave: Alright. Ima go find Moon before you paint the town red or something.

*mutters* I hope you don't go painting the town white. . . .

Wave: Excuse me, what did you just say?

Nothing.

Wave: I'm pretty sure you said-

*Tosses Wave out a window* ANYWAYS, I hope you guys enjoy this short chapter! The climax is upon us! Dun dun dun!

Solstice's POV:

Today I was not staring out my window at the setting sun.

Today I was begging phase one.

"Scorch!" I barked over my shoulder. "What is taking you so long!?"

"Sorry sir! Going as fast as I can sir!" Came the nervous reply of the Simisear behind me.

I snorted in annoyance, causing a small bit of fire to expel from my nostrils. "You'd better hurry up or I'll feed you to the Dark One first!"

Scorch gave a nervous cry and began working on the machine faster. I looked down at the completed prism in my claws and smiled.

So close now. You will be freed soon, o Dark Light, o Dark One!

Then a fierce, dark presence broke into my mind and proceeded to speak to me.

Yeess. . . . . . . .freeee. . . .meee. . . . .

W-what? Dark One?

Feeeed. . . .feeeeed. . . .

Yes master. You will get to feed and then you will be able to create the world in a new image. Your image!

. . . .

Master?

Do. . . .not. . . .fail. . . .

I won't master. I promise.

Then the presence left my mind as fast as it had appeared. I was astonished by the immense power I had just felt. It was incredible. Awe inspiring. My fur stood on end as I reflected on what had just happened.

Somemon cleared their throat behind me. "Uh boss, sir, it's finished. The machine I mean."

"Why didn't you say so!?" I snarled, turning around to face the Simisear.

"Well, uh, you uh. . . .look busy thinking and-"

"Don't give me excuses, just turn the blasted machine on!" I rolled my eyes and stormed to the edge of the roof to look down upon the pathetic town of Sunspire. "Stupid lowly mon and their ignorance. Don't they know that they are nothing in comparison to the Dark One? The Lord of Death and Despair?"

I shook my head. "No matter. In only a few hours they will know of their powerlessness."

A large grin spread across my face and I once again looked down at the completed prism in my claws. I turned my attention back towards the sky and watched with joy as the sun stopped setting. It just froze there. Halfway past the horizon. The machine was working.

"Boss, sir. I need the prism now." Scorch adjusted his large glasses nervously as he spoke. "I-if you'll give it to me."

I just walked past the buffoon and put the prism on the dial, where it began to float and glow. A few seconds later, a large dark red and black beam fire directly into the sky above Sunspire Tower. A vortex began to open and I smiled.

"Arise Dark One." I said aloud. "The time is now."

In response, a loud and ominous cry came from where the vortex had opened. It echoed across the town and all of the inhabitants looked up at the sky in horror. I began laughing but was punched from behind, sending me flying across the roof where I landed in a pile of nice, soft bricks. I growled and looked up at my assailant.

"You."

"Yes. Me." The shiny Greninja that stood before me had a look of displeasure and disapproval on his face.

Standing up, I looked down at the shorter mon. "What do you think you're doing, Sensei?"

"Stopping you." He dusted off his shoulder as he spoke.

"How did you even-"

"I've known for quite a long time, if that's what you are asking."

I snarled at Sensei and unleashed flamethrower on the the mon, only for him to doge and hit me with night slash. Angered, I caused the air around me to shimmer and heat up. Sensei ran at me and used water shuriken, throwing three of the objects at me. They cut into my fur and caused me to let out a cry of pain. I roared and used smokescreen, hiding myself from my attacker. Sensei threw water shuriken after water shuriken into the smoke, trying to hit me. However, by then I had already snuck behind him and began rubbing my fur together.

"I believe that where you come from, the word for 'goodbye' is sayonara."

Sensei turned around and looked at me calmly. "Sayonara." He said.

Boom!!!

With a blast of fire and smoke, my fur erupted into flames, the force of the explosion pushing Sensei away and off of the tower, where he presumably fell to his death. Once the smoke was gone, three Houndooms ran up to make sure I was okay.

"Yes I'm fine you idiots! Go make sure the frog is dead!"

"Sir, yes sir!"

With that the three Houndooms ran down the stairs and began heading down the tower. I smoothed out some of my fur before I walked to the roof's edge again to watch the Pokémon bellow panic and begin screaming as the the sky grew dark and the vortex larger.
