" 'Y/n, Amethyst, dinner is ready!' Y/n's mother calls from down stairs. The smell of (favorite food) came up stairs, causing them both to head to the kitchen quick. Y/n then looked at Amethyst, as if it were the last time she'd see her. "

[Iwaizumi's POV]

Haru fell asleep holding his new build-a-bear. I carried him to his bed, quietly stepping to not wake up my mom. "Hajime," I heard my mom call out. "Sorry, was I too loud?" I asked, but she only smiled. I guess she's still tired. I hug her before telling her to go to sleep. It was only 9pm, but I knew she couldn't stay up for much longer. She was working the entire day, it'd be rude to have her do anything other than sleep.

Once she had gotten to bed, I decided to cook something before I myself went to sleep. Ding. My phone went off.

Why did it matter to look at my schedule now? I'll get it the day when school starts anyway. After contemplating whether or not to open my laptop, I opened the school board to find my home room. Great.. this year they decided to mix years in home rooms to see what differences will be made. Better yet, I have the teacher who despises me the most out of the entire school.

I closed my laptop out of irritation, then decided I wasn't going to cook after all. Maybe tomorrow will be a better day.

By next morning, I'm woken up by Haru staring directly in my eyes at the corner of my feet. I fall out of bed, thinking some serial killer child was in my room.

"Kuya (big brother)?" Haru said, as if he didn't know what he had just did. I get back up, groaning as if I were an old man. "Mom said she's leaving to get some groceries, and she wanted me to tell you before we leave," he was twirling while he stood there, as any other child would do. "Alright, well does she want me to come?" I ask.

It was the last day before break ended, so knowing my mom, I knew she'd want me to have "fun". There's not much to do other than to hang out with my friends, which I didn't want to do today. "Mom said to-" "Go have fun?" I finished his sentence. He looked amazed, like I was a wizard. "Go ahead and leave before mom starts complaining." chuckling, I walk him to the front door. I hug my mom goodbye before closing the door, flopping on the couch to figure out what I was going to do today.

[OG POV]

"Y/n, do you girls want to come with me to the store?" Y/n's mother had a weekly routine of going to the store on Tuesday. As much as they appreciated the offer, they chose to make this day special before Amethyst left to Korea. "No thank you mom, but later I can help you carry the groceries!" Y/n tried to help with at least a small chore.

Her mom leaves and the two girls stay at home to play as many games as they could. Mario kart, any Mario game, Fall Guys, Overcooked, anything. They had games ever since they were children, all the way up to now.

"Why do you have to win at every raceee," Amethyst began to complain. "But then not know how to cut vegetables?!"

By the end of Y/n winning all races, and Amethyst yelling at Y/n on how to cut a tomato, they watched all their favorite movies.

The first movie they watched was (fav horror). "WHAT WAS THE GUY THINKING?! Oh let's make love while a SERIAL KILLER is on the loose!" Amethyst started yelling in frustration. The love interest tried to seduce the girl into having sex, but later the serial killer interrupted the scene. He killed the love interest. "Like how dumb can you be?" Y/n could only laugh, uncontrollably, while Amethyst was having a mental crisis.

They fall asleep to (fav drama).

Once Y/n woke up, she found herself alone at 6pm. Was mom still not back? She wondered to the garage, then the front of the house, and to any of her family member's room. No one, not even Amethyst.

She finds her phone with the message from Amethyst saying "I have to get ready to pack my stuff. Ily, and I'll see you at orientation." She only saddens when she reads the message.

Waiting for a reply, she calls her mom.

She'll be here in 30 minutes.

A/N: This was a bit of a harder chapter to write since I can't write well when filling in the gaps of the storyline. I hope this is okay until you read the next chapter. <3
