" Y/n cried herself to sleep that night, her knees up against her chest.

'Tomorrow will be better,' she kept telling herself. "

!! Another sad ending <3 !!

Y/n woke up, groaning at the fact it was already Sunday. She had checked her phone to find it was 7, shit. Practice was scheduled Sunday at 8:30 am, Y/n didn't even have her bag ready. She rushed out of bed, took a shower, and dresses in her gym clothes. There was no point in packing it when she could show up in them.

She arrived to the soccer field to find no one there. "What?" Y/n wondered what had happened to them, was it the wrong day? She yawned, tired from staying up. Y/n checked her phone to see if she had gotten the right time, there was a message from the captain.

"Sorry girls, practiced is canceled today due to a short notice of snow." Y/n looked at the message in confusion. Snow? It's only... it was December 1st. Had she really lost track of time that quickly? If it were really December 1st, then Amethyst would be on her way tomorrow, arriving Tuesday. I forgot about that, every negative feeling she had soon lowered from the thought she wouldn't be alone anymore.

Beginning to head back home, she finds someone in the distance in front of the gym. Worry washed over Y/n, she didn't want to talk to Oikawa. She then ran behind a bush, which turned out to be losing its leaves.

The sound of crunching steps came closer and closer, soon coming to a stop. "...Y/n?" That's not Oikawa.. what? She popped her head out from where she was hiding. It was Iwaizumi, he had his hand in his pockets. He wore a jacket and scarf. The boy looked at her, waiting for her to say something, anything. "What are you doing down there?" He started to smile, turning into a laugh.

Y/n stands up, blushing from in embarrassment. "I-Iwa.. I was uhm," she couldn't find her words, still shocked that he had found her in a bush. He had jumped at the sound of his name. "I was hiding. I mistook you for someone else," there was no eye contact.

"Why?" He continued to investigate. Y/n wasn't wanting to explain herself, so she just shrugged and walked the other way. Something's wrong, Iwaizumi stared until she was out of sight.

Walking home in a freezing morning wasn't what Y/n expected to do. Eventually, about half way through her walk, snow began to fall, making the morning even more cold than it already was. She shivered, there was still about 20 minutes left until she reached home. Should I run? It wasn't clear what to do, run and risk the chance of becoming more cold or walk the rest of the way, staying how cold she was.

She stood for a while, unable to move her frozen-cold legs. "Hey Y/n," a man was in front of her. "What are you doing just standing here?" He asked another question, this time she looked up to face him. "Hey Kindaichi. I had practice, kind of. It was canceled," she looked back down after greeting him. Kindaichi had noticed her begin to shake.

A jacket was wrapped around her shoulders, "You can use it, I'll just grab it from you tomorrow morning." He then walked away, heading towards school.

Y/n was about to say thanks, but he was already gone.

[Iwaizumi's POV]

Kindaichi walked in the club room. "Hey Iwaizumi," he said his usual greeting. I turn to say hello back until I notice he didn't have a jacket. "Where's your jacket? It's in the 40's out there," I couldn't have any possibility of my teammates to get a cold.

He shook his head, "It's not that cold, plus I gave it to Y/n on the way here. She only had her gym clothes." Y/n, she didn't really have much on her, did she. My mind was brought back to the bush. What was she doing in there?

The club door opened again, "Hey guys." Matsukawa. We both replied back. "I'm opening the gym, see you there," I said, leaving out in the cold. I still don't get how Kindaichi could walk in the cold, I thought to myself, watching the snow fall to the ground.

Later, once everyone had arrived at the gym, we began to practice our serves for a while. "Iwa~chan!" There he was, and as usual, calling me by that nickname. "What," I said, hitting a ball over the net. He had looked happier than usual, which was a lot.

He almost couldn't contain himself, "Y/n asked for why I liked her, right?" He nearly yelled the last part. "So I told her, she was so speechless. I think she might like me again!" Huh? I felt a ping in my chest. Why do I feel like this? Oikawa began to jump up and down. Once he served, he almost missed with how excited he was.

"Wow," was all I could say. I was there, did she still like him after calling her chubby and not his kind of pretty? How could she forgive him so easily. So many thoughts were running through my head. Are they actually going to end up together?

Practice ended sooner than expected, it was 9:20. We said our good byes and left to wait for Monday to come.

[OG POV]

"Hey! Sorry I couldn't answer last night, what happened?" Amethyst was on the phone once Y/n arrived home. "Uh, the date was," Y/n was about to explain how things with Oikawa had went, but she couldn't bring herself to say exactly what it was.

From the sound of it, Amethyst had already understood why she had called. "It was that bad?" She knew not to get frustrated, it would only make Y/n even more sad. "It's okay honey, you can let it out." Y/n's voice cracked, "Do you think I looked bad before.. I confessed?"

Amethyst looked at her phone in shocked, what did that jackass do? She shook her head before saying "No." She was so angry she couldn't say anything else.

After a long silence, Y/n finally spoke again, "I loved him Amie, I loved a dickhead. Not only that, but I began to feel something again." I knew this would happen, Amethyst too began to cry. Y/n knew she hurt her by breaking her promise. "I'm sorry."

That only made Amethyst cry even more, "It's not your fault. Oikawa is a dick with no understanding how people can feel, you just couldn't see that. It's okay." She tried to comfort her best friend. "You. You, Y/n, are the most beautiful thing on this Earth, don't let ANY dick head say otherwise," Amethyst couldn't hold herself any longer.

The two girls continued to comfort and cry with each other, talking about how much of an asshole Mr. Pretty Face was.

The night had ended with Amethyst saying, "When I get there, I'm going to beat the shit out of that narcissistic guy."
