Y/n & Amethyst

"Turns out that little thing with Oikawa WASN'T a date! He though it was just a celebration."

"Of course that dick thought so. Screw him, he doesn't need that dumb date!"

"Yeah.."

They continued to talk through out the night.

_______________________

!! The day is currently Monday !!

Over the past few months, it had been a constant routine: go to school, go to the baking club/soccer club/gym, go home, and call Amethyst. There still hadn't been a date, however....

October

"What is it Oikawa?" Y/n asked. She was pulled aside after each other's practice. "Why can't you call me Tooru like I wanted last year?" He whined, not answering why she was privately talked to. Do I have to call you that? "Because it's weird, now what did you want to talk about?"

The setter had looked down towards his feet. Was he shy? He then spoke, looking in her eyes, "I really do like you Y/n, you're pretty. I don't want to have a date just for this to end." She looked at him confused, this? What exactly is this? "I'm not sure what you mean by this, but you already know I don't like you anymore."

Although he had known this, he couldn't help but feel sad. "Yeah, I know."

Currently

At this point I WANT the date to happen... Y/n thought to herself, thinking back to what he said. She didn't want anything to do with Oikawa anymore. She had gone to every game, even practice games, of his, just like he wished. After what seemed like 50 games, he still hadn't attended one.

Even if she didn't care if he showed up, it'd be nice to not be the only one to support the other. From time to time Kindaichi and Kunimi would come to games to boost Y/n's confidence, so with Iwaizumi and the other 3rd years. Come to think of it, he's come to every game. Y/n came to the realization. I guess he's not that bad after all.

"Y/n, did you hear me?" Her history teacher had called out. She poked up her head. He sighed, "I'm guessing you didn't?" Y/n looks down at her desk in embarrassment. Up on the board wrote a project, "Learn things from your 3rd years." What?

"When the instructions say 'learn things from your person', it does not mean cute little facts of themselves. I want it to be school related."

Y/n couldn't think of any third year that would actually be interesting, sorry Jordan, Hanamaki and Matsukawa.

[Iwaizumi's POV]

Shit. I hold my head above my desk, what will I say to Y/n? Even worse, what will I say to Oikawa? Earlier this month, I had noticed I wanted to become closer to Y/n, but I don't know why. Every time I pass her in the hall, every time I see in home room, hell, even every game I can't stop looking at her. What is with me?

"Hey Iwa~chan!" Oikawa calls out to me while sitting down. Speak of the devil's boy. "Hey," I groaned. Oikawa frowned at my response, he didn't like negative responses, or whenever I was negative. "What?" I asked. "Be a little more enthusiastic when seeing me!" He spoke as if he were some great king, which I guess he was?

I was too tired and annoyed to be happy. "I think I'm going to finally take Y/n on the date I said I'd take her on," he spoke once again. I lifted my head as soon as I heard him say 'date with Y/n'. "Why?" He began to think to himself for a while. He finally knew why, "so she can finally love me!" He says, as if she hadn't loved him before.

"Don't you think you ruined your chance? You did reject her first," I began to try to convince him to not go on the date. What am I even doing. "You're against me now? I think I still have a chance," he confidently said. He then went day dreaming as class started.

Lunch had come, and as expected, I began to stare at Y/n. Is she really going to date my best friend after everything? All of a sudden, I see her stand up and begin to walk towards our table. Oikawa had a large smile on his face, as if he saw a treasure. "Sorry Oikawa, I'm not here for you," she said bluntly. Ouch. "Iwaizumi, do you think I could use you for my project? I'm supposed to grab an interesting third year." I stare at her, shocked that she'd actually come to me for help.

Oikawa looks at me, then her. I guess he got jealous. "Y/n! Are the rest of us not interesting?!" Hanamaki said dramatically. "I honestly don't care," Matsukawa said bored, continuing to eat his sandwich. "Uh, sure. Do you need my number or anything?" I asked, I was honestly nervous to be talking to her in front of Oikawa. "Nope, I got it from Kindaichi," she pointed. She then left as if nothing happened.

Oikawa began to pout at the fact Y/n wanted to study me. Oh well, I smirked.

[OG POV]

After school, Y/n went to the gym to wait for Iwaizumi's practice to finish. It finished after an hour or two, "you're coming to my house." She wanted to finish her project soon, since it was due next week. "Well let me message my mom, that is if you can wait that long. Also I'm pretty sweaty, so you might have to wait for another day." It seemed like he was avoiding to leave to her house, but she was determined to finish the project.

Oikawa noticed the two talking, but he still took his chance to confront Y/n about the date. "Y/n~chan!" He called out her name, causing her to turn her head. "Sorry for taking so long, but do you want to go on that date Saturday?" She was relieved, she felt free from this ongoing situation. "Finally!" She yelled.

Her response made Iwaizumi feel like he had been punched in the gut. Oikawa shouts in joy, "Great! I'll message you everything." He practically skips home.

Now, "You can take a shower, but you're coming to my house straight after. I'll send you the address." And with that, Y/n leaves to her home.
