'He booked an entire compartment?' You dug out your ticket again to check it, and yes, for some reason Shalnark had paid for a family compartment.

'Good,' Feitan said, dumping your bags on one row of seats, 'No want company.'

Yawning you could only agree as you placed the ticket on the small table by the window and sat down on the other side of the narrow compartment. There were four seats in a row, almost like a small sofa, and you leaned against the padded wall next to the window, kicking off your shoes before pulling your legs up under you.

'Come here,' you said patting the seat in front of you, and he settled down with his head on your lap and his legs stretched out on the seats. Not long after you felt the airship shake before it slowly started rising off the ground and you turned to the window so you could watch Swardani's tall buildings grow smaller as the ship rose higher and picked up speed.

The door suddenly burst open, startling you, and a group of young men, barely more than gangly teenagers, barged into the compartment.

'Look, there's plenty of room in here,' one of them said, reaching out to grab your bags to move them to the floor. He threw a glance in your direction, 'These seats are free, right?'

'No free,' Feitan growled, scowling at him.

As if his glare would be insufficient in any way he also released a small burst of bloodlust, and the men visibly shrank away and backed through the door, stumbling into each other, muttering excuses. Seconds later the door was slammed shut.

'You're terrible,' you chuckled.

'I know,' he grinned up at you and you bent down to touch your lips to his. 'Better just us.'

'Oh, I completely agree.'

You adjusted your position slightly to get more comfortable, then closed your eyes, your fingers idly combing through Fei's hair as you tried to stifle a yawn.

'You sleep. I keep watch.'

You smiled, you doubted that anybody on this airship posed any kind of danger to the two of you, and considering the fright he'd given the guys who'd tried to enter just now, you were willing to bet they had spread the story and the rest of the passengers would give your compartment a wide berth.

'So, where do we start? Is there a hideout in Yorknew we'll go to?'

'There is, but I say we borrow house close to target. More practical. Also more comfortable.'

'That sounds good,' you said, 'A real bed, and hot water in the shower. I like that idea.'

'Will be few days, so why not be in nice place? Danchou said working vacation.'

'You're right. He did say that. I definitely heard him. He's a wise man,' you agreed, and the corners of Fei's mouth tugged upward,

'Yes, he is. Most of the time. When not think too much.' He pulled up his phone, 'You rest. I need make appointment. Have few errands in Yorknew, so now good time.'

'Okay,' you said, your eyelids were definitely feeling heavy after your sleepless night. It had been several nights since you'd had proper sleep, so you closed your eyes again, this time letting yourself drift off.

The small Tailor's shop would have been easy to miss. A curtained window, a battered wooden door, and a very small sign were all that indicated its existence, squeezed in amidst more obvious shops as it was. Once inside, the surprisingly big room with its huge counter and endless rolls of fabric in all possible colors stacked in the back had an oddly cheerful feel to it. It was not the kind of place you'd expect Fei to take you to, but he surprised you even more when he pulled down his bandana and warmly greeted the short black-haired man approaching you.

'Master Feitan,' the man said with a big smile as he came out from behind the counter, stroking one side of the long thin mustache hanging well below his chin. 'I got your message, and it's been too long since you stopped by.'

'It has.' The men shook hands, roughly, and the tailor grinned.

'Now, don't go breaking any of my fingers. Hard to complete your order without them.'

'You good, find way.' Feitan grinned as he watched the other man disappear behind the counter and then return with a rather big parcel, wrapped in brown paper.

'Two sets, all ready,' he said proudly, 'and once the rest are finished I'll have them shipped to...Heaven's Arena, you said?'

'Yes, address to Chrollo Lucilfer. Your delivery man will find easy.'

'Ten more sets? Consider it done. By the way, I've added a few new pockets and features,' he added. 'I'm sure you'll be pleased.'

Fei reached into one of the existing pockets in his coat and pulled out a thick padded envelope.

'Always do great job,' he complimented the tailor as he handed him the envelope, 'Payment as usual.'

'Much obliged.' The contents were poured onto the counter and you gasped at the two thick piles of thousand jenny bills as well as several pieces of jewelry it had contained. It seemed excessive for clothes, no matter how talented this man was.

The tailor glanced at Feitan, 'Excellent. I'll send the usual percentage back home to Meteor, as per our usual arrangement.'

'Good.'

'And for the little lady?' His small dark eyes moved to you for the first time, 'What we discussed before, or something else?'

Little lady? You barely managed to keep your face straight. The tailor was barely taller than you and Feitan, and most certainly not in a position to refer to you or anyone else as "little", and you most certainly were not a lady.

'Make few different ones. Maybe five? Black and...purple?' Fei turned to you, 'You like purple yes?'

'You know I do. What am I getting?'

Both men grinned, and the tailor whipped a measuring tape out from his pocket and closed in on you.

'It surprise. Need patience,' Fei said as the measuring tape fluttered around your waist and hips, as well as a few other places.

'A surprise? Really?' You smiled at him, then shook your head as you remembered the last surprise gift he had brought you. At least this one would be clothing of some sort, not human, and you were actually curious to find out what he'd ordered for you. As long as it wasn't...

'Fei, you're not getting me the same coat as you have, right? I mean I love it on you, but matching outfits...' You looked into his grinning face and felt certain you were not that far from the truth, 'I'm just saying we might not want to look like twins.'

'No will tell.'

He winked at you and practically oozed mirth and mischief as he picked up his parcel and said goodbye to the tailor, who closed and locked the door behind you, presumably to hide his significant payment and get started on the new order.

'You're seriously not even going to give me a hint?' you complained as you walked towards the nearest subway station, but you only got a quick kiss in reply. Not that you had expected him to tell you, and though curious you were happy to let him have his fun. You'd find out soon enough.

'So, finding a place to stay is next on the list then?'

'Yes. Have found good one. Owner on vacation, but first need stop at normal clothes shop.'

'Normal clothes shop? What for?'

'Target have party tonight. Concert. Shal's making our invitations, but we need disguise. To fit in.'

'Right,' you laughed. 'That actually sounds like it's going to be fun.'
